കേരളത്തിൽ ഓഫിസ് എവിടെയാണ് തുറക്കുകയെന്ന് ഐബിഎം ഔദ്യോഗികമായി വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല. കോവിഡ് സാഹചര്യം തുടരുന്നതിനാൽ നിലവിൽ വർക് ഫ്രം ഹോം രീതിയിലാകും പ്രവർത്തനമെന്നാണ് ലഭ്യമാകുന്ന സൂചന. ഒന്നര വർഷമായി ഐബിഎം കേരളത്തിൽ എത്തുമെന്ന് വാർത്തകളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു ഘട്ടത്തിൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരവും ഐബിഎമ്മിന്റെ പരിഗണനയിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

2018ലെ പ്രളയത്തിനു പിന്നാലെ പ്രകൃതിദുരന്തങ്ങൾക്കു സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യയിലൂടെ പരിഹാരം കണ്ടെത്താനായി ഐബിഎം കോൾ ഫോർ കോഡ് ചാലഞ്ച് കേരളത്തിൽ നടത്തിയിരുന്നു.
