കര്‍ണാടക മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി യെദ്യൂരപ്പ രാജി വെച്ചു

കര്‍ണാടക മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ബി.എസ് യെദ്യൂരപ്പ രാജി വെച്ചു. ദിവസങ്ങള്‍ നീണ്ട അഭ്യൂഹങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഒടുവിലാണ് യെദ്യൂരപ്പയുടെ രാജി. അധികാരത്തിലെത്തി രണ്ടു വര്‍ഷം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാകുന്ന വേളയിലാണ് യെദ്യൂരപ്പയുടെ രാജി. ഇന്ന് യെദ്യൂരപ്പയുടെ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അധികാരത്തിലേറി രണ്ടുവര്‍ഷം പൂര്‍ത്തിയായാക്കുന്ന ചടങ്ങിലാണ് വികാരഭരിതനായി രാജി പ്രഖ്യാപനം. ഒരുമണിയോടെ രാജ്ഭവനിലെത്തി ഗവര്‍ണറെ കണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹം രാജിക്കത്ത് കൈമാറി. രാജി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള പ്രസംഗത്തിനിടെ യെദ്യൂരപ്പ വികാരാധീനനാകുയും വിതുമ്പി കരയുകയും ചെയ്തു. നാല് തവണ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായ യെദ്യൂരപ്പയ്ക്ക് നാല് തവണയും കാലാവധി പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കാതെ പടിയിറങ്ങേണ്ടി വന്നു.

'അടല്‍ ബിഹാരി വാജ്‌പേയ് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയായിരുന്ന സമയത്ത് എന്നോട് കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രിയാകാന്‍ നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ കര്‍ണാടകത്തില്‍ തന്നെ തുടരാന്‍ തീരുമാനിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. സുദീര്‍ഘമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ എല്ലാക്കാലവും എനിക്ക് അഗ്നിപരീക്ഷയായിരുന്നു'- യെദ്യൂരപ്പ പറഞ്ഞു. കഴിഞ്ഞയാഴ്ചയാണ് തൻ്റെ രാജികാര്യത്തെ കുറിച്ച് യെദ്യൂരപ്പ തന്നെ ആദ്യം സൂചന നല്‍കിയത്‌. അധികാരത്തിലേറി രണ്ടുവര്‍ഷം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കുന്ന വേളയില്‍ ബി.ജെ.പി ദേശീയ അധ്യക്ഷന്‍ ജെ.പി നദ്ദ പറയുന്നത് എന്താണെങ്കിലും താന്‍ അനുസരിക്കുമെന്ന് നേരത്തെ യെദ്യൂരപ്പ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു.

പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയും മറ്റ് കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രിമാരുമായി നടന്ന ചര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ രാജിവെക്കുന്നതിന് പകരമായി മക്കൾക്ക് തന്ത്രപ്രധാന സ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ നൽകണം എന്നതടക്കമുള്ള  ചില ഉപാധികള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം മുന്നോട്ടുവച്ചതായി സൂചനയുണ്ട്. ഇന്നലെ കേന്ദ്ര തീരുമാനം ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നും യെദ്യുരപ്പ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

The resignation was announced with emotion at a function to complete two years of Yediyurappa's government coming to power today. He reached Raj Bhavan around 1 PM and met the Governor and handed over his resignation. Yediyurappa became emotional and sobbed during his speech announcing his resignation. Yediyurappa, a four-time chief minister, had to step down four times without completing his term. "Atal Bihari Vajpayee had instructed me to become a minister during his tenure as Prime Minister. But I decided to stay in Karnataka. I have always had an ordeal in a long political career'- Yediyurappa said.

Yediyurappa himself first hinted at his resignation last week. Earlier, Yediyurappa had made it clear that he would obey whatever BJP national president J P Nadda was saying when he completed two years in power. In talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Union ministers, he is understood to have put forward some options, including that his children should be given strategic positions in exchange for resigning. Yediyurappa had also said that a central decision would be taken yesterday.
