തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ ശ്രീലങ്കന്‍ തമിഴ് അഭയാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്കായി 317 കോടിയുടെ പാക്കേജുമായി സ്റ്റാലിന്‍
തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ ശ്രീലങ്കന്‍ തമിഴ് അഭയാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്കായി 317 കോടിയുടെ പാക്കേജ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി എം കെ സ്റ്റാലിന്‍. തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലുള്ള അഭയാര്‍ഥികളുടെ ഭവന പുനര്‍നിര്‍മാണം ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള ക്ഷേമ പദ്ധതികള്‍ക്കാണ് പ്രത്യേക പാക്കജ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. സംസ്ഥാനത്തുള്ള ശ്രീലങ്കന്‍ തമിഴ് അഭയാര്‍ഥികളുടെ ക്ഷേമ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പ്രത്യേക കമ്മിറ്റി രൂപീകരിക്കുമെന്നും സ്റ്റാലിന്‍ നിയമസഭയെ അറിയിച്ചു. ഇവര്‍ക്ക് പൗരത്വം നല്‍കുന്ന വിഷയവും ശ്രീലങ്കയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങാന്‍ താത്പര്യപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് അതിനാവശ്യമായ ക്രമീകരണം ഒരുക്കല്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ ദീര്‍ഘകാലമായി നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്ന ആവശ്യങ്ങള്‍ പരിഹരിക്കാനായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുമെന്നും സ്റ്റാലിന്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
ക്യാമ്പുകളില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഭവന പുനര്‍നിര്‍മാണം ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ 261.54 കോടി വിനിയോഗിക്കും. ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില്‍ 3510 വീടുകളുടെ നിര്‍മാണത്തിനായി ഈ സാമ്പത്തിക വര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ 109.81 കോടി നീക്കിവെക്കും. ഇവരുടെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും തൊഴില്‍ അവസരങ്ങളും ഉറപ്പാക്കാനായി 12.25 കോടിയും ജീവിത നിലവാരം ഉയര്‍ത്താന്‍ 43.61 കോടി രൂപയും വിനിയോഗിക്കുമെന്നും സ്റ്റാലിന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
1983 മുതല്‍ ഇതുവരെയുള്ള കണക്കുപ്രകാരം 3,04,269 ലങ്കന്‍ തമിഴ് പൗരന്‍മാര്‍ തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലേക്ക് വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതില്‍ 58,822 പേര്‍ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ 29 ജില്ലകളിലെ 108 ക്യാമ്പുകളിലായി കഴിയുന്നുണ്ട്. 34,087 പേര്‍ രജിസ്‌ട്രേഷന് ശേഷം മറ്റിടങ്ങളില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും സ്റ്റാലിന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
Chief Minister M K Stalin announced a package of Rs 317 crore for Sri Lankan Tamil refugees in Tamil Nadu. The special package was announced for welfare schemes including housing reconstruction of refugees in Tamil Nadu. Stalin also informed the assembly that the government would set up a special committee for the welfare of Sri Lankan Tamil refugees in the state. Stalin said he would work to address long-standing demands, including the issue of granting them citizenship and making arrangements for those interested in returning to Sri Lanka.
261.54 crore will be utilized to improve infrastructure including housing reconstruction of those living in the camps. In the first phase, 109.81 crore will be earmarked for the construction of 3510 houses this financial year. Stalin said rs 12.25 crore would be utilized to ensure their education and employment opportunities and Rs 43.61 crore to raise living standards.
Since 1983, 3,04,269 Lankan Tamil nationals have come to Tamil Nadu. Of these, 58,822 are living in 108 camps in 29 districts of the state. Stalin also said that 34,087 people were living elsewhere after registration.
