കാബൂള്‍ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിനു പുറത്തെ ഇരട്ട സ്‌ഫോടനം; 11 അമേരിക്കൻ സൈനികരടക്കം 60 പേര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു

അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനില്‍ കാബൂള്‍ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിനു പുറത്ത് വ്യാഴാഴ്ചയുണ്ടായ ഇരട്ടസ്‌ഫോടനത്തിൽ സ്ത്രീകളും കുട്ടികളും യു എസ് ദൗത്യസംഘാംഗങ്ങളും ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ ചുരുങ്ങിയത് 60 പേര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടതായി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. 150ല്‍ അധികം ആളുകള്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റിട്ടുണ്ട്. ആക്രമണത്തില്‍ 11 അമേരിക്കന്‍ സൈനികരും രണ്ട് യുഎസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും ഒരു മെഡിക്കല്‍ ഓഫീസറും കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും മൂന്ന് അമേരിക്കൻ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർക്ക് പേര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേല്‍ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇരട്ട സ്ഫോടനങ്ങൾ ചാവേറാക്രമണം ആണെന്നാണ് അന്വേഷണ ഏജൻസികൾ നൽകുന്ന സൂചന. കാബൂൾ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ സുരക്ഷാ ഭീഷണി ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്ന മുന്നറിയിപ്പിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് വിമാനത്താവളത്തിന് പുറത്തും ബാരണ്‍ ഹോട്ടലിന് സമീപവുമായി ഇരട്ട സ്ഫോടനം നടന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്.

 ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് സൈന്യം നിലയുറപ്പിച്ച ആബ്ബേ കവാടത്തിനുസമീപമാണ് ആദ്യം സ്‌ഫോടനമുണ്ടായത്. പിന്നാലെ ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് അധികൃതര്‍ വിസരേഖകള്‍ പരിശോധിക്കുന്ന ബാരണ്‍ ഹോട്ടലിനു സമീപവും സ്‌ഫോടനമുണ്ടായി. ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് അഭയാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്കു നടുവിലെത്തിയ ചാവേര്‍ പൊട്ടിത്തെറിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. സംഭവ സ്ഥലത്ത് വെടിവെപ്പ് നടന്നതായും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകളുണ്ട്. വിമാനത്താവളത്തിലെത്തിയ ആയിരങ്ങളെ ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടായിരുന്നു ആക്രമണം. നിരവധി താലിബാന്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ക്കും  പരിക്കേറ്റതായി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുണ്ട്. വിമാനത്താവളത്തിന് പുറത്ത് വന്‍സ്ഫോടനം നടന്നതായി യു എസ് സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ച്  പെന്റഗണ്‍ മാധ്യമ വക്താവ് ജോണ്‍ കിര്‍ബി ട്വീറ്റും ചെയ്തു. 

ഒരു സ്‌ഫോടനം നടന്നത് വിമാനത്താവളത്തിലെ അബ്ബേ ഗേറ്റിന് സമീപമാണെന്നും രണ്ടാമത്തേത് നടന്നത് അടുത്തുള്ള ബാരണ്‍ ഹോട്ടലിന് സമീപത്താണെന്നും കിര്‍ബി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഇരട്ട സ്‌ഫോടനങ്ങളിലൊന്ന് ചാവേര്‍ ആക്രമണമാകാനാണ് സാധ്യതയെന്ന് യു എസ് സൈനികര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. പരിക്കേറ്റവരില്‍ മൂന്നുപേര്‍ യു എസ് സൈനിക ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരാണെന്ന് മറ്റൊരു അമേരിക്കന്‍ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്‍ റോയിട്ടേഴ്‌സിനോടു പ്രതികരിച്ചു. 

ഇതിനിടെ കാബൂള്‍ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിനു പുറത്തു നടന്ന ഇരട്ട സ്ഫോടനത്തെ ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സഭ അപലപിച്ചു. തുടര്‍ന്ന് ആക്രമണങ്ങളുണ്ടായാല്‍ അടിയന്തര സഹായമെത്തിക്കുമെന്നും യു എന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. അതേസമയം താലിബാനിലെ സ്ഫോടനത്തിന് പിന്നില്‍ ഐ എസ് ഐ എസ് ആണെന്ന് അമേരിക്ക ആരോപിച്ചു. അവരുടെ ഐ എസ് ഐ എസ് കെ എന്ന ഉപവിഭാഗമാണ് സ്ഫോടനം നടത്തിയതെന്നാണ് അമേരിക്ക ആരോപിക്കുന്നത്.സംഭവത്തെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് അമേരിക്കന്‍ പ്രസിഡൻ്റ്  ജോ ബൈഡന്‍ ദേശീയ സുരക്ഷാ സമിതിയുമായി ചര്‍ച്ച നടത്തി.

Thursday's twin blasts outside Kabul airport in Afghanistan reportedly killed at least 60 people, including women, children and US task force members, and more than 150 people were injured in the attack, which killed 11 American soldiers, two US officers and a medical officer and injured three American officers, according to investigators, as twin blasts were a suicide bombing.

The first blast occurred near the Gates of Abbe, where British troops were stationed. The blast followed near the Baran Hotel, where British authorities were checking visa documents. The suicide bomber was exploding in the middle of thousands of refugees. There were also reports of shooting at the scene. The attack targeted thousands who arrived at the airport. Several Taliban operatives were also reportedly injured. Pentagon media spokesman John Kirby tweeted that the US confirmed a massive explosion outside the airport.

Kirbi said an explosion took place near the Abbay Gate at the airport and the second took place near the nearby Baran Hotel. US soldiers said one of the twin blasts was likely to be a suicide attack. Another American official responded to Reuters that three of the injured were US military personnel.

Meanwhile, the United Nations condemned the twin blasts outside Kabul airport. The UN said it would provide emergency assistance in the event of further attacks. At the same time, the US accused ISIS of being behind the blast in the Taliban. The US has accused their ISISK subsidiary of carrying out the blast. Following the incident, US President Joe Biden held talks with the National Security Council.
