നിയമസഭാ തിര‍ഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് - തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് റാലികളുടെ നിരോധനം നീട്ടി, ആളെണ്ണത്തിൽ ഇളവ്

അഞ്ച് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലെ നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് റാലികൾക്കുള്ള തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് കമ്മീഷൻ്റെ നിരോധനം ഫെബ്രുവരി 11 വരെ നീട്ടി. റോഡ് ഷോകൾ, പദയാത്രകൾ, സൈക്കിൾ/ബൈക്ക് റാലികൾ എന്നിവയ്ക്കെല്ലാം നിരോധനം തുടരും. ഒമൈക്രോൺ അടക്കമുള്ള കോവിഡ് വ്യാപനത്തിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിലാണ് രലോകൾക്കുള്ള നിരോധനം. എന്നാൽ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് പ്രചാരണങ്ങളിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാവുന്ന ആളുകളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ ഇളവു വരുത്തി. തുറസ്സായ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലെ പൊതുപരിപാടികളിൽ 1000 പേർക്ക് പങ്കെടുക്കാം. മുൻപ് 500 പേർക്കായിരുന്നു അനുമതി.

വീടുകൾതോറും കയറിയുള്ള പ്രചാരണ സംഘങ്ങങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം പത്തിൽനിന്ന് 20 ആയി ഉയർത്തി. ഹാളുകളിൽ നടത്തുന്ന യോഗങ്ങളിൽ 500 പേർക്ക് പങ്കെടുക്കാം. സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ, ആരോഗ്യ വകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ എന്നിവരുമായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് കമ്മിഷൻ ചർച്ച നടത്തി കോവിഡ് സാഹചര്യം വിലയിരുത്തി. പല സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലും കോവിഡ് ബാധിതരുടെ എണ്ണം കുറഞ്ഞുവരികയാണ്. എങ്കിലും നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങൾ തുടരണമെന്ന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് കമ്മിഷൻ നിരീക്ഷിച്ചു.
