അട്ടപ്പാടി മധു വധക്കേസിലെ സ്‌പെഷ്യല്‍ പബ്ലിക് പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടര്‍ എവിടെയെന്ന് കോടതി

അട്ടപ്പാടിയിലെ ആദിവാസി യുവാവ് മധുവിനെ ആൾക്കൂട്ട വിചാരണ നടത്തി വധിച്ച കേസിലെ സ്‌പെഷ്യല്‍ പബ്ലിക് പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടര്‍ എവിടെയെന്ന് കോടതി. മണ്ണാര്‍ക്കാട് പട്ടികജാതി, പട്ടികവര്‍ഗ കോടതി ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച കേസ് പരിഗണിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ മധുവിന് വേണ്ടി ആരും ഹാജരായിരുന്നില്ല. ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണ് സ്‌പെഷ്യല്‍ പബ്ലിക് പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടര്‍ എവിടെയെന്ന് കോടതി ചോദിച്ചത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം നവംബര്‍ 15-ന് കേസ് പരിഗണിച്ചപ്പോഴും സ്‌പെഷ്യല്‍ പബ്ലിക് പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടര്‍ മധുവിന് വേണ്ടി  ഹാജരായിരുന്നില്ല. ഇതേ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് കേസ് ജനുവരി 25-ലേക്ക് മാറ്റിവെച്ചത്. എന്നാല്‍ 25-നും പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടര്‍ കോടതിയില്‍ എത്താത്തതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് കേസ് ഫെബ്രുവരി 26-ലേക്ക് മാറ്റിവെച്ചതായി കോടതി അറിയിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. മുൻപ് പലതവണ മധു കേസ് പരിഗണിച്ചപ്പോഴും ഓരോ കാരണങ്ങള്‍ പറഞ്ഞ് പ്രോസിക്യൂഷന്‍ വിചാരണ നീട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോവുകയായിരുന്നു. കേസിൻ്റെ പിന്നാലെ പോകാനും സമ്മര്‍ദം ചെലുത്താനും തങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ആരുമില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ കേസിൻ്റെ വിചാരണ മനഃപൂർവം  വൈകിപ്പിക്കുന്നതായി മധുവിൻ്റെ കുടുംബവും ആരോപിച്ചിരുന്നു. മകന് നീതി ലഭിക്കണമെന്നുമായിരുന്നു മധുവിൻ്റെ അമ്മ മല്ലി അന്ന് പ്രതികരിച്ചത്. 

2018 ഫെബ്രുവരി 22 നാണ് ആദിവാസിയുവാവായ മധുവിനെ ആള്‍ക്കൂട്ട വിചാരണ നടത്തി തല്ലിക്കൊന്നത്. മനുഷ്യമനഃസാക്ഷിയെ ഞെട്ടിച്ച സംഭവം അന്ന് ഏറെ ചര്‍ച്ചയായെങ്കിലും കേസിൻ്റെ നടത്തിപ്പില്‍ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ ശ്രദ്ധചെലുത്തിയില്ലെന്നാണ് നിലവിലെ സ്ഥിതിഗതികള്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുന്നത്. കേസിനായി ആദ്യം ഒരു സ്‌പെഷ്യല്‍ പബ്ലിക് പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടറെ നിയമിച്ചെങ്കിലും സർക്കാർ അനുവദിച്ച സൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ പോരെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ് അദ്ദേഹം ഒഴിഞ്ഞു. പിന്നീട് 2019 ഓഗസ്റ്റിലാണ് വി ടി രഘുനാഥിനെ സ്‌പെഷ്യല്‍ പബ്ലിക് പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടറായി നിയമിച്ചത്. പക്ഷേ, ഒരിക്കല്‍പോലും അദ്ദേഹം മണ്ണാര്‍ക്കാട്ടെ കോടതിയില്‍ എത്തിയില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ കേസിലെ പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടര്‍ സ്ഥാനം ഒഴിയാൻ താന്‍ ഡി ജി പിക്ക്  കത്ത് നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ അനൗദ്യോഗിക വിശദീകരണം.എന്നാൽ, ഡി ജി പി ഓഫീസില്‍നിന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് തന്നെ കേസിൻ്റെ സ്‌പെഷ്യല്‍ പബ്ലിക് പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടറായി തുടരാന്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടതായും വിവരങ്ങളുണ്ട്.

Madhu, a tribal youth, was beaten to death by a mob on February 22, 2018. Although the shocking incident was widely discussed at the time, the current situation indicates that those involved in the case have not paid attention. A special public prosecutor was initially appointed for the case, but he resigned, citing a lack of government-provided facilities. Later in August 2019, VT Raghunath was appointed as the Special Public Prosecutor. But he never appeared in the Mannarkkad court. However, his unofficial explanation was that he had written to the DGP to vacate his position as prosecutor in the case.
