പിന്നീട് ഫോക്സില്‍ നല്‍കിയ അഭിമുഖത്തില്‍ അപമാനം നേരിട്ട മാധ്യമപ്രവര്‍ത്തകന്‍ പീറ്റര്‍ ഡൂസി സംഭവത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് പ്രതികരിച്ചു. ആരും ഇതുവരെ പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യത്തെ "ഫാക്ട് ചെക്ക്" ചെയ്തതായി കണ്ടില്ലെന്നും പരിഹാസരൂപേണ അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. ഇതിന് പിന്നാലെ സമൂഹമാധ്യമങ്ങളില്‍ ഡൂസിയെ അനുകൂലിച്ചും ബൈഡനെതിരെയും പോസ്റ്റുകള്‍ വന്നുതുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.

During a press conference at the White House, people heard that the US President Joe Biden using bad words against a Fox News reporter. Footage of Monday's incident has gone viral on social media. As reporters left the room after the event, a Fox News reporter asked Biden "inflation was a political liability". But the U.S. president responded to the question by saying "stupid, son of a bitch" without noticing that the mic was on. Later, in an interview with Fox, journalist Peter Doocy, who was insulted, reacted to the incident. "No one has ever seen a" fact check "on what the president said," he said sarcastically. This was followed by posts on social media in favor of Doocy and against Biden.
Peter Doocy later told the media that Biden called within an hour of the incident being controversial and told him, 'It should not be taken personally, my friend.' It is noteworthy that the White House has in the past tried to retract or immediately explain the nature of such mistakes, but did not intervene further. With the release of the transcript of the event, which included a controversial reference to Biden, the reference became part of the official record.
