സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഒമിക്രോണ്‍ തരംഗം. കോവിഡ് രോഗികളിൽ 94 ശതമാനം പേർക്കും ഒമിക്രോണെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി

സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് പടരുർന്ന് പിടിക്കുന്നത് ഒമിക്രോണെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി വീണാ ജോര്‍ജ്. ഇതുവരെ പരിശോധിച്ച സാമ്പിളുകളില്‍ 94 ശതമാനവും ഒമിക്രോണാണ്, ബാക്കി ആറ് ശതമാനം ഡെല്‍റ്റ വകഭേദമാണ്. വിദേശത്ത് നിന്ന് വന്നവരില്‍ കോവിഡ് സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ച 80 ശതമാനം പേരിലും ഒമിക്രോണ്‍ വകഭേദമാണ്. കോവിഡ് കേസുകള്‍ ഇനിയും കൂടാന്‍ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. നിലവിലെ സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന് അടുത്ത മൂന്നാഴ്ച നിര്‍ണായകമാണെന്നും മന്ത്രി മാധ്യമപ്രവര്‍ത്തകരോട് പറഞ്ഞു.

കോവിഡ് പടര്‍ന്ന് പിടിക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിലും ഐസിയു, വെന്‌റിലേറ്റര്‍ ഉപയോഗത്തില്‍ കുറവ് വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. കോവിഡ് രോഗികളില്‍ 96.4 ശതമാനം പേരും ഗൃഹപരിചരണത്തിലാണ്. 3.6 ശതമാനം രോഗികള്‍ മാത്രമാണ് ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ചികിത്സ തേടുന്നത്. കോവിഡ് രോഗികളുടെ ഐസിയു ഉപയോഗത്തിൽ രണ്ടുശതമാനം കുറവ് വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. ആരും സ്വയം ചികിത്സയ്ക്ക് മുതിരേണ്ടെന്നും വേണ്ടെന്നും, ശാരീരിക  ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകളുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തണമെന്നും മന്ത്രി നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചു. ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് ചികിത്സ നിഷേധിച്ചാല്‍ ആശുപത്രികള്‍ക്കെതിരെ കര്‍ശനമായ നടപടി ഉണ്ടാവുമെന്നും ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.

Health Minister Veena George has said that omicron is spreading in the state. Ninety-four percent of the samples tested so far are Omicron, and the remaining six percent are delta variants. About 80 percent of those immigrated by Covid are Omicron variants. Covid cases are likely to increase further. "The next three weeks are crucial for the state in the current situation," he told reporters.

The use of ICUs and ventilators has also been declining in the wake of the Covid outbreak. 96.4% of Covid patients are in home care. Only 3.6 per cent of patients seek treatment at the hospital. The minister also said that the ICU use of Covid patients has come down by two per cent. The minister said that no one should resort to self-medication and should go to the hospital if they have any physical problems. The health minister said that if those who are admitted to the hospital are denied treatment, strict action will be taken against the hospitals.
