പഞ്ചാബ് - അനധികൃത മണല്‍ ഖനനത്തിൽ ഛന്നിയുടെ അനന്തരവനെ ഇ ഡി അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു

പഞ്ചാബ് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ചരണ്‍ജിത് സിങ് ഛന്നിയുടെ അനന്തരവൻ ഭൂപീന്ദര്‍ സിങ് ഹണിയെ എന്‍ഫോഴ്‌സ്‌മെന്റ് ഡയറക്ടറേറ്റ് (ഇ ഡി) അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു. അനധികൃത മണല്‍ ഖനന കേസിലാണ് ഛന്നിയുടെ അനന്തരവന്‍ അറസ്റ്റിലായത്. ഭൂപീന്ദര്‍ സിങ്ങിൽ നിന്ന് പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത പണത്തിൻ്റെ ഉറവിടം തിരിച്ചറിയാന്‍ ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിനെയും രണ്ടു കൂട്ടാളികളെയും ഇ ഡി വീണ്ടും ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യും.

ജലന്ധറില്‍ വ്യാഴാഴ്ച വൈകിട്ടാണ് ഭൂപീന്ദറിനെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത്. അനധികൃത മണല്‍ ഖനന കേസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട നീണ്ടസമയത്തെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യലിനു ശേഷമായിരുന്നു ഇത്. നേരത്തെ ഭൂപീന്ദറിൻ്റെ വസതിഅടക്കം പത്തിടങ്ങളിൽ എന്‍ഫോഴ്‌സ്‌മെൻ്റ് ഡയറക്ടറേറ്റ് റെയ്ഡ് നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. ജലന്ധറിലെ കോടതിയില്‍ ഹാജരാക്കിയ ഭൂപീന്ദറിനെ ഫെബ്രുവരി എട്ടുവരെ ഇ ഡി കസ്റ്റഡിയില്‍ വിട്ടു.

അതേസമയം വിഷയത്തില്‍ ഛന്നിയുടെ പ്രതികരണം എത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. നിയമം അതിൻ്റെ വഴിക്കു പോകട്ടെ. എനിക്ക് അതൊന്നും പ്രശ്‌നമൊന്നുമല്ല എന്നായിരുന്നു ചരണ്‍ജിത് സിങ് ഛന്നിയുടെ പ്രതികരണം. 

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested the nephew of Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. Channi's nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey has been arrested in a case of illegal sand mining. The ED will again question Bhupinder Singh and his two accomplices to identify the source of the seized money.

Bhupinder was arrested in Jalandhar on Thursday evening. This was after a lengthy interrogation related to an illegal sand mining case. Earlier, the Directorate of Enforcement had raided ten places, including Bhupinder's residence. Bhupinder, who was produced in a court in Jalandhar, was remanded in ED custody till February 8.

Meanwhile, Channi's response to the issue has arrived. Let the law go its own way. Charanjit Singh Channi's response was that it was not a problem for me.
