യെമൻ പൗരൻ്റെ കൊലപാതകം - നിമിഷപ്രിയയുടെ വധശിക്ഷ കോടതി ശരിവച്ചു

യെമൻ പൗരനെ കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയ കേസിൽ മലയാളി നഴ്സ് നിമിഷപ്രിയയുടെ (33) വധശിക്ഷ കോടതി ശരിവച്ചു. യമനിലെ അപ്പീൽ കോടതിയാണ് വിചാരണ കോടതിയുടെ വിധി ശരിവെച്ചത്. പാലക്കാട് കൊല്ലങ്കോട് സ്വദേശിനിയാണു നിമിഷപ്രിയ. ഇനി യെമനിലെ സുപ്രീംകോടതിയുടെ പരിഗണനയ്ക്കു കേസ് സമർപ്പിക്കാം. പക്ഷെ അപ്പീൽകോടതിയുടെ തീർപ്പ് സുപ്രീം കോടതി പുനഃപരിശോധിക്കില്ല, പകരം, പ്രസ്തുത വിധിയിലേക്ക് എത്തിയ നടപടിക്രമങ്ങൾ ശരിയായിരുന്നോ എന്നു പരിശോധിക്കുക മാത്രമാണു സുപ്രീം കോടതി ചെയ്യുക. ആയതിനാൽ ശിക്ഷയിൽ ഇളവ് ലഭിക്കാനുള്ള സാധ്യത വളരെ കുറവാണ്. 

യെമൻ പൗരനായ തലാലിനൊപ്പം ക്ലിനിക് നടത്തുകയായിരുന്നു നിമിഷപ്രിയ. ഇതിനിടെയാണ് തലാൽ അബ്ദുമഹ്ദി 2017ൽ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത്. . തലാലിൻ്റെ കുടുംബത്തിനു നഷ്ടപരിഹാരത്തുക നൽകി കോടതി നടപടികളിൽനിന്നു മുക്തയാകാനുള്ള  ശ്രമങ്ങൾ നടന്നിരുന്നെങ്കിലും, തദ്ദേശീയരുടെ എതിർപ്പുമൂലം ശ്രമം വിജയം കണ്ടില്ല. ഈ ശ്രമം വീണ്ടും നടത്തി വിജയിച്ചാൽ മാത്രമെ നിമിഷപ്രിയയുടെ മോചനം സാധ്യമാകുകയെന്നു നിയമവിദഗ്ധർ പറയുന്നു.

തലാൽ അബ്ദുമഹ്ദിയെ നിമിഷപ്രിയയും കൂട്ടുകാരിയും ചേർന്നു കൊലപ്പെടുത്തി മൃതദേഹം വീടിനുമുകളിലെ വാട്ടർ ടാങ്കിൽ ഒളിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നതാണു കേസ്. നഴ്സായി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നതിനിടെ സ്വന്തമായി ക്ലിനിക് തുടങ്ങാൻ സഹായവാഗ്ദാനവുമായി വന്ന തലാൽ പാസ്പോർട്ട് പിടിച്ചെടുത്തു ഭാര്യയാക്കി വയ്ക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചതാണു കൊലപാതകത്തിലേക്കു നയിച്ചതെന്നായിരുന്നു നിമിഷപ്രിയയുടെ വാദം. ക്രൂരമായ പീഡനത്തിനിരയായിരുന്ന നിമിഷ ക്ലിനിക്കിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്ന യുവതിയുടെയും മറ്റൊരു യുവാവിന്റെയും നിർദേശപ്രകാരം തലാലിന് അമിത ഡോസ് മരുന്നു കുത്തിവച്ചതു മരണത്തിന് ഇടയാക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

Nimishapriya was running a clinic with Talal, a Yemeni national. Meanwhile, Talal Abdumahdi was assassinated in 2017. . Attempts to compensate Talal's family by avoiding court proceedings were unsuccessful due to opposition from locals. Legal experts say that Nimishapriya's release will be possible only if the attempt is successful again.

It is alleged that Talal Abdumahdi was killed by his girlfriend and his body and hid in a water tank on the roof of the house. Nimishapriya claimed that Talal, who had offered to help her start her own clinic while working as a nurse, had confiscated her passport and tried to marry her, which led to her murder. At the time of the brutal torture, Talal was injected with an overdose of the drug at the behest of a young woman who worked at the clinic and another young man.
