സുമി അടക്കമുള്ള നാല് നഗരങ്ങളിൽ വെടിനിര്‍ത്തല്‍. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളുടെ മടക്കം വേഗത്തിലാകും

യുക്രൈനിലെ കീവ്, മരിയോപോള്‍, ഖര്‍കിവ്, സുമി എന്നീ നഗരങ്ങളില്‍ ഇടക്കാല വെടിനിര്‍ത്തല്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് റഷ്യ. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ ഉൾപ്പടെയുള്ള ജനങ്ങളെ ഒഴിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് അവസരം ഒരുക്കുന്നതിനാണിത്.

ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സമയം ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 12.30 ന് വെടിനിര്‍ത്തല്‍ പ്രാബല്യത്തില്‍ വരും. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ശക്തമായ നയതന്ത്ര ഇടപെടലുകൾക്ക് അവസാനമാണ് സുമി അടക്കമുള്ള നഗരങ്ങളിൽ വെടിനിർത്തൽ സാധ്യമായത്. യുക്രൈനിലെ തന്നെ  മലയാളി വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ ഏറെയുള്ള നഗരമാണ് സുമി. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളെ യുക്രൈനില്‍നിന്ന് ഒഴിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള നടപടി അവസാന ഘട്ടത്തിലേക്ക് നീങ്ങുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് നാല് പ്രധാന നഗരങ്ങളില്‍ റഷ്യ വെടിനിര്‍ത്തല്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. അതിനിടെ, റഷ്യന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് വ്‌ളാദിമിര്‍ പുതിനുമായും യുക്രൈന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് സെലന്‍സ്‌കിയുമായും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ഇന്ന് ചര്‍ച്ച നടത്തിയതായും വിവരങ്ങളും പുറത്തുവരുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇനിയും യുക്രൈനിലുള്ള വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളോട്, വേഗത്തിൽ രജിസ്‌ട്രേഷൻ നടപടികൾ പൂർത്തീകരിക്കാൻ യുക്രൈനിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ എംബസി ഇന്നലെ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. വിദേശകാര്യമന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻ്റെ അനൗദ്യോഗിക കണക്ക് പ്രകാരം 4000 വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളാണ് ഇനി ഇന്ത്യയിൽ എന്താണുള്ളത്. ഇതിൽ 3000 പേര് നിലവിൽ യുക്രൈൻ അതിർത്തി കടന്നുകഴിഞ്ഞു എന്ന വിദേശകാര്യ സഹ മന്ത്രി വി മുരളീധരൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

The ceasefire will take effect at 12.30 pm Indian time. The ceasefire in cities, including Sumi, was the culmination of strong Indian diplomatic intervention. Sumi is the largest Malayalee student city in Ukraine. Russia has declared a ceasefire in four major cities as the process of expelling Indian students from Ukraine nears its final stages. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reported to have held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy today.

The Indian Embassy in Ukraine yesterday asked students still in Ukraine to complete the registration process expeditiously. According to unofficial figures from the Ministry of External Affairs, there are now 4,000 students in India. Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said 3,000 of them had already crossed the border into Ukraine.
