കറാച്ചി സര്‍വകലാശാലയില്‍ സ്‌ഫോടനം. 3 ചൈനക്കാരടക്കം 4 മരണം

പാകിസ്താനിലെ കറാച്ചി സര്‍വകലാശാലയിലുണ്ടായ ശക്തമായ സ്‌ഫോടനത്തില്‍ മൂന്ന് ചൈനീസ് പൗരന്മാരുള്‍പ്പെടെ നാല് പേര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവരില്‍ രണ്ട് പേര്‍ സ്ത്രീകളാണ്. കറാച്ചി സര്‍വകലാശാലയിലെ  കണ്‍ഫ്യൂഷ്യസ് ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടിന് സമീപം വാന്‍ പൊട്ടിത്തെറിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു എന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക വിവരം. നിരവധി പേര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റിട്ടുണ്ട്. പരിക്കേറ്റവരില്‍ മൂന്ന് പേരുടെ നില അതീവ ഗുരുതരമാണ്. സ്‌ഫോടനത്തിന്റെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വം ബലൂച്ച് ലിബറേഷന്‍ ആര്‍മിയുടെ (ബിഎല്‍എ) മജീദ് വിഭാഗം ഏറ്റെടുത്തു. 

കറാച്ചി സര്‍വകലാശാലയില്‍ ചൈനീസ് ഭാഷ പഠിപ്പിക്കാനായി ചൈനീസ് സർക്കാർ സ്ഥാപിച്ച കണ്‍ഫ്യൂഷ്യസ് ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടിന് സമീപമാണ് സ്‌ഫോടനം ഉണ്ടായത്. സര്‍വകലാശാലയിലെ അധ്യാപകരെയും കൊണ്ടു പോകുകയായിരുന്ന വാഹനമാണു പൊട്ടിത്തെറിച്ചതെന്നു പ്രാദേശിക മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തു. വാനില്‍ ഏഴോ എട്ടോ പേര്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെന്നും പാക് മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നു.

കണ്‍ഫ്യൂഷ്യസ് ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടിന് ഡയറക്ടര്‍ അടക്കം മൂന്ന് ചൈനീസ് പൗരന്മാരും പാകിസ്താന്‍ സ്വദേശിയായ ഡ്രൈവറുമാണ് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടതെന്ന് സര്‍വകലാശാല വക്താവ് പറഞ്ഞു. മറ്റ് രണ്ട് ചൈനീസ് പൗരന്മര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റിട്ടുണ്ട്. സുരക്ഷാ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ സ്‌ഫോടനത്തിനു പിന്നാലെ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി പ്രദേശം ഒഴിപ്പിച്ചു. സര്‍വകലാശാലയുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ  വനിത ചാവേര്‍ പൊട്ടിത്തെറിക്കുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് ബി എല്‍ എ വക്താവ് പറഞ്ഞു. വനിതാ ചാവേറിൻ്റെ ചിത്രവും ബി എല്‍ എ വക്താവ് പുറത്തുവിട്ടു.

ഇതിനിടെ സംഭവത്തിന്‍റേതെന്ന് കരുതുന്ന സി സി ടി വി ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ പുറത്തുവന്നു. കണ്‍ഫ്യൂഷ്യസ് ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടിൻ്റെ ഗേറ്റിന് സമീപം ഒരു ബുര്‍ഖ ധരിച്ച് സ്ത്രീ നില്‍ക്കുന്നതും വാന്‍ സമീപത്ത് എത്തുമ്പോള്‍ ശക്തമായ സ്‌ഫോടനം നടക്കുന്നതുമാണ് ദൃശ്യങ്ങളിലുള്ളത്. ഉറുദു ചാനലായ ജിയോ ന്യൂസ് ആണ് ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ പുറത്ത് വിട്ടത്.

Four people, including three Chinese nationals, have been killed in a powerful blast at a university in Karachi, Pakistan. Two of those killed were women. Preliminary information is that the van exploded near the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi. Several people were injured. Three of the injured are in critical condition. The Majeed faction of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the blast.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a Confucius Institute set up by the Chinese government to teach Chinese at the University of Karachi. Local media reported that the vehicle carrying the university teachers exploded. According to Pakistani media reports, there were seven or eight people in the van.

A university spokesman said three Chinese nationals, including the director of the Confucius Institute, and a Pakistani driver were killed. Two other Chinese nationals were injured. Security officials rushed to the scene and evacuated the area. A BLA spokesman said a female suicide bomber had exploded inside the university. A BLA spokesperson also released a picture of the woman's suicide.

Meanwhile, CCTV footage of what is believed to be the incident came out. A woman wearing a burqa is seen standing near the gate of the Confucius Institute and a powerful explosion occurs as the van approaches. The footage was released by the Urdu channel Geo News.
