രാജ്യസഭയിൽ നിന്ന് സസ്പെൻഡ് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട പ്രതിപക്ഷ എംപിമാരെ തിരിച്ചെടുക്കണമെന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് പ്രതിപക്ഷം നടത്തുന്ന സമര വേദിയിലേക്ക് ബിജെപി നടത്തിയ പ്രതിഷേധം ഉന്തും തള്ളിലും കലാശിച്ചു. സസ്പെൻഡ് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട പ്രതിപക്ഷ എംപിമാരെ തിരിച്ചെടുക്കണമെന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ട്  പാർലമെൻ്റിലെ ഗാന്ധിപ്രതിമയ്ക്കു സമീപം എല്ലാ ദിവസവും പ്രതിപക്ഷാംഗങ്ങൾ പ്ലക്കാർഡുകളുമായി സമരം നടത്താറുണ്ട്. ഇതിനിടെ ഇന്നലെ ബിജെപി അംഗങ്ങളും മുദ്രാവാക്യങ്ങളുമായി സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി. കടലാസുകൾ വലിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞും മേശയ്ക്കു മുകളിൽ കയറിയും രാജ്യസഭയുടെ പവിത്രത കളങ്കപ്പെടുത്തിയതിനാണു സസ്പെൻഷനെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാണ് ബിജെപി എംപിമാർ പരണയുന്നത്. സസ്പെൻഷനിലായവർ മുൻപ് രാജ്യസഭയ്ക്കുള്ളിൽ നടത്തിയ പ്രതിഷേധത്തിൻ്റെ ചിത്രങ്ങളും ഇവർ ഉയർത്തി കാട്ടിയായിരുന്നു ബിജെപി എം പി മാരുടെ പ്രധിഷേധം.

ഇരു കൂട്ടരും മുഖാമുഖം നോക്കി മുദ്രാവാക്യം വിളിക്കുന്നതിനിടെ ചിലർ അങ്ങോട്ടുമിങ്ങോട്ടും കയറിയത് ചെറിയതോതിലുള്ള ഉന്തിനും തള്ളിനും ഇടയാക്കി. കോൺഗ്രസ് അംഗങ്ങളായ റിപുൺ ബോറ, ഹൈബി ഈഡൻ, സിപിഐ അംഗം ബിനോയ് വിശ്വം തുടങ്ങിയവർ പ്രതിപക്ഷ നിരയിലും അൽഫോൻസ് കണ്ണന്താനം, രാംകുമാർ വർമ, റാം ഭായ് മൊകാരിയ തുടങ്ങിയവർ ബിജെപിയുടെ മുൻനിരയിലുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. പ്രതിഷേധിക്കാൻ പ്രതിപക്ഷത്തിൻ്റെ അതേ അവകാശങ്ങൾ തങ്ങൾക്കുമുണ്ടെന്ന് ബിജെപി നേതാവ് ജി വി എൽ നരസിംഹറാവു പറഞ്ഞു.

Congress members Ripun Bora, Hibi Eden and CPI member Binoy Vishwam were in the Opposition while Alphonse Kannanthanam, Ramkumar Verma and Rambhai Mokaria were in the BJP front. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said they had the same rights as the opposition to protest.
