അജാസ് പട്ടേൽ 10 ഇൽ 10

ലോകത്തെ മൂന്നാമത്തെ "പെർഫെക്ട് 10" ബൗളറായി ചരിത്രത്തിൽ തൻ്റെ പേരെഴുതിച്ചേർത്ത് അജാസ് പട്ടേൽ. ഒരു ടെസ്റ്റ് ഇന്നിങ്സിൽ പത്ത് വിക്കറ്റും വീഴ്ത്തിയാണ് ഇന്ത്യക്കാരനായ ന്യുസിലാൻഡ് ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ടീമംഗം ചരിത്രത്തിൽ ഇടം നേടിയത്. അജാസിന് മുൻപ് ഈ നേട്ടം സ്വാന്തമാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളർ വെറും രണ്ടുപേർ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ട് താരം ജിം ലേക്കറും ഇന്ത്യൻ താരം അനിൽ കുംബ്ലെയും മാത്രമാണ്. അജാസിന്റെ ഈ നേട്ടത്തിന് ഒരുപാട് പ്രത്യേകതകളുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ജനിച്ച് എട്ടാം വയസുവരെ മുംബയിൽ വളർന്ന അജാസ് ഇന്ത്യക്കെതിരെയുള്ള മത്സരത്തിലാണ് ഈ അപൂർവ്വ നേട്ടം സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്. 

ഇത്തവണ മത്സരത്തിന് മുൻപ് കിവീസിന് വേണ്ടി മുംബയിൽ മാധ്യമങ്ങളെ കാണാനുള്ള അവസരം കിവീസ് ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ കെയ്ൻ വില്യംസൺ നൽകിയതും അജാസിനാണ്. ടോസ് നേടി ബാറ്റിങ്ങിനിറങ്ങിയ ആതിഥേയർ 109.5 ഓവറിൽ 325 റൺസ് നേടിയപ്പോഴേക്കും അജാസിന് മുന്നിൽ അടിയറവ് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. കളിയിൽ 45.7 ഓവർ ബോൾ എറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ 119 റൺസ് മാത്രം വഴങ്ങിയാണ് അജാസ് 10 വിക്കറ്റും സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്.

1956ഇൽ ഓസ്‌ട്രേലിയക്കെതിരെ മാഞ്ചെസ്റ്ററിൽ നടന്ന മത്സരത്തിലാണ് ഒരിന്നിംഗ്‌സിൽ 10 വിക്കറ്റും നേടുക എന്ന ചരിത്ര നേട്ടം ജിം ലേക്കർ  കൈവരിച്ചത്. 51.2 ഓവറിൽ 53 റൺസ് മാത്രം വഴങ്ങിയാണ് ലേക്കർ കൈവരിച്ചത്. 1999ൽ  ഫിറോസ് ഷാ കോട്ല സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിൽ പാകിസ്താനെതിരെയാണ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അനിൽ കുംബ്ലെ ഈ ചരിത്ര നേട്ടം സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്. 26.3 ഓവറിൽ 74 റൺസ് മാത്രം വഴങ്ങിയാണ് വകുംബ്ലെ  അന്ന് 10 വിക്കറ്റും എറിഞ്ഞിട്ടത്. 

അജാസ് പട്ടേലിനെ അനിൽ കുംബ്ലെ പെർഫെക്റ്റ് 10 ക്ലബ്ബിലേക്ക് സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്ത് ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു.

 Ajaz Patel has made history by becoming the third 'Perfect 10' bowler in the world. The Indian origin New Zealand cricket team member made a history by taking 10 wickets in a test innings. England's Jim Laker and India's Anil Kumble are the only two players to have achieved this feat before Ajax. This achievement of Ajax has a lot of peculiarities. Born in India and raised in Mumbai until the age of eight, Ajaz achieved this rare feat in a match against India.

Ajaz was also given the opportunity by Kiwis captain Kane Williamson to meet the media in Mumbai for the Kiwis ahead of the match. The hosts won the toss and elected to bat, but were bowled out for 325 in 109.5 overs. Ajax took 10 wickets for 119 runs in 45.7 overs.

Jim Laker's historic 10 wicket haul in an innings against Australia in Manchester in 1956. Laker conceded just 53 runs in 51.2 overs. India's Anil Kumble achieved this historic feat in 1999 against Pakistan at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. Kumble took 10 wickets for just 74 runs in 26.3 overs.
