കോലി രാജിവച്ചില്ല, സമയം കഴിഞ്ഞതോടെ ഒഴിവാക്കി ബിസിസിഐ

തുടർച്ചയായ തോൽവികളെ തുടർന്ന് ഇന്ത്യൻ ഏകദിന ക്രിക്കറ്റ് നായക സ്ഥാനം ഒഴിയാൻ തയാറാവാതിരുന്ന വിരാട് കോലിയെ  ബിസിസിഐ നീക്കി. സ്ഥാനം ഒഴിയാൻ നൽകിയ 48 മണിക്കൂർ പിന്നിട്ടിട്ടും കോലി തൽസ്ഥാനത്തു നിന്നു രാജിവെച്ചൊഴിയാൻ തയാറാവാത്തതിനെ തുടർന്നാണ് നായക സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്ന് നീക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള പ്രഖ്യാപനം നടത്താൻ ബിസിസിഐ തീരുമാനിച്ചതെന്നു വാർത്താ ഏജൻസിയായ പിടിഐ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തു.

കോലിയെ മാറ്റി മണിക്കൂറുകൾക്കകം ഏകദിന ഫോർമാറ്റിൽ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പുതിയ ക്യാപ്റ്റനായി ബിസിസിഐ രോഹിത് ശർമിയെ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.   ട്വന്റി20 ലോകകപ്പിലെ തോൽവിയെ തുടർന്ന് ട്വന്റി20 നായകസ്ഥാനം രാജിവയ്ക്കുമെന്നു കോലി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതോടെ ഏകദിന ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ സ്ഥാനവും നഷ്ടമാകുമെന്നു തിർച്ഛയായിരുന്നതായും പിടിഐ റിപ്പോർട്ടിൽ പറയുന്നു.

അമിത ജോലിഭാരം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയാണു ട്വന്റി20യിലെ നായക സ്ഥാനം ഒഴിയുന്നതായി വിരാട് കോലി ലോകകപ്പ് പരാജയത്തിന് ശേഷം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. പിന്നാലെ 20ട്വന്റിയിൽ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ നായകനായി രോഹിത് ശർമയെ ബിസിസിഐ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു.  നിലവിൽ ടെസ്റ്റ് ഫോർമാറ്റിൽ മാത്രമാണു കോലി ക്യാപ്റ്റനായുള്ളത്.

The BCCI has sacked Virat Kohli, who was unwilling to step down as India's ODI captain following a string of defeats. According to PTI, the BCCI has announced that Kohli will step down from the post 48 hours after he refused to step down. Within hours of Kohli being replaced, the BCCI announced Rohit Sharma as India's new captain in the ODI format. According to the PTI report, Kohli's resignation from the Twenty20 World Cup following his defeat in the World Twenty20 has made it clear that he will lose his ODI captaincy.

Virat Kohli has announced his retirement from the Twenty20 World Cup after losing the World Cup due to overwork. Later, the BCCI announced Rohit Sharma as the captain of India in the Twenty20s. Kohli is currently the only captain in the Test format.
