ലഖിംപുർ ഖേരി കേസിലെ പ്രത്യേകാന്വേഷണ സംഘം സമർപ്പിച്ച കുറ്റപത്രം കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാരിനും ബിജെപിക്കും വലിയ കുരുക്കായി മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ഈ വിഷയത്തിൽ ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രി അമിത് ഷായുടെ വകുപ്പിലെ ആഭ്യന്തര സഹമന്ത്രി അജയ് മിശ്രയുടെ മകൻ ആശിഷ് മിശ്ര മുഖ്യ പ്രതിയായ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ അജയ് മിശ്രയെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി സംരക്ഷിക്കുമോ കൈവിടുമോ എന്നതാണ് ചർച്ചാ വിഷയം. മകന് കേസിൽ പങ്കുണ്ടെന്ന് തെളിഞ്ഞാൽ രാജിവയ്ക്കുമെന്നുമായിരുന്നു സംഭവം നടന്നയുടൻ അജയ് മിശ്ര പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നത്. അക്രമസംഭവങ്ങൾക്കു പിന്നിൽ ‘ഖലിസ്ഥാൻ’ കയ്യുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ആരോപണം ഉന്നയിച്ചിരുന്നു.

നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ ആശിഷ് മിശ്ര സ്ഥാനാർഥിയാകുമെന്ന പ്രചാരണം ശക്തമായിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു വേണ്ടി ചുവരെഴുത്തും ആരംഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇതിനിടെയാണ് പ്രത്യേക അന്വേഷണ സംഘം മന്ത്രി പുത്രനെ മുഖ്യപ്രതിയാക്കി കുറ്റപത്രം സമർപ്പിച്ചത്. യുപിയിൽ ബ്രാഹ്മണ സമുദായത്തെ കൂടെ നിർത്താൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന ബിജെപിക്ക് അജയ് മിശ്രയ്ക്കെതിരെ നടപടിയെടുക്കുന്നത് വലിയ തലവേദ നയുണ്ടാക്കും. പൂർവാഞ്ചലിലെ ബിജെപിയുടെ ശക്തമായ ബ്രാഹ്മണ മുഖമാണ് അജയ് മിശ്ര. ഇതു കൂടി കണക്കിലെടുത്തായിരുന്നു കരുതലോടെ നീങ്ങാൻ നേതൃത്വം തീരുമാനിച്ചതും. 

കുറ്റപത്രത്തിൽ ആശിഷ് മിശ്ര മുഖ്യ പ്രതിയായതോടെ ഇനിയും അജയ് മിശ്രയെ സംരക്ഷിച്ചു നിർത്താൻ ബിജെപി പാടുപെടും. ഉന്നാവ് പീഡനക്കേസിൽ പ്രതിയായ മുൻ എംഎൽഎ കുൽദീപ് സെൻഗാറിനെ സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചുവെന്നതിൻ്റെ ചീത്തപ്പേര് മാറ്റിയെടുക്കാൻ ബിജെപി ഇപ്പോഴും കിണഞ്ഞ് ശ്രമിക്കുകയാണ്. വിവാദ കൃഷി നിയമങ്ങൾ പിൻവലിച്ചതോടെ വലിയൊരു കുടുക്കിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടുവെന്നു കരുതിയിരുന്ന ബിജെപിക്ക് ആ ആശ്വാസം ഇപ്പോൾ നഷ്ടമാകുന്ന സ്ഥിതിയാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ സംജാതമായിരിക്കുന്നത്.
