പെഗാസസ് - പരാതിക്കാരോടു തെളിവ് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് സുപ്രീം കോടതി നിയോഗിച്ച വിദഗ്ധ സമിതി

എൻ എസ് ഒ ഗ്രൂപ്പിൻ്റെ പെഗസസ് ചാര സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയർ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഉന്നതരുടെ അടക്കം ഫോൺ വിവരങ്ങൾ ചോർത്തി എന്ന വിഷയത്തിൽ   തെളിവുകൾ നൽകാൻ സുപ്രീം കോടതി നിയോഗിച്ച വിദഗ്ധ സമിതി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. പത്രപ്പരസ്യത്തിലൂടെയാണു തെളിവു നൽകാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടത്. ഈ മാസം 7നകം inquiry@pegasus-india-investigation.in എന്ന ഇ–മെയിലിലൂടെ തെളിവു നൽകണം.

പെഗസസ് ചോർത്തൽ വിഷയം അന്വേഷിക്കാൻ വിദഗ്ധസമിതിയെ നിയോഗിക്കാമെന്ന കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ നിർദേശം തള്ളിയാണു സുപ്രീം കോടതി കഴിഞ്ഞ ഒക്ടോബറിൽ സ്വന്തം സമിതിയെ നിയോഗിച്ചത്. ജസ്റ്റിസ് ആർ വി രവീന്ദ്രൻ അധ്യക്ഷനായ മൂന്നംഗ സമിതിയെയാണ് അന്വേഷണങ്ങൾക്കായി നിയോഗിച്ചത്. രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാർ, മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകർ, ആക്ടിവിസ്റ്റുകൾ എന്നിവരുടെ ഫോൺ ചോർത്തിയെന്നായിരുന്നു ആരോപണം. രാജ്യത്തെ പൗരന്മാരുടെ വിവരങ്ങൾ ചോർത്താൻ പെഗസസ് സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയർ കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നതും സമിതിയുടെ അന്വേഷണ വിഷയമാണ്.

സ്വന്തം ഫോണിൽ ചാര സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയർ ഉണ്ടെന്നു തോന്നിയവർ കാരണങ്ങൾ സഹിതം വിവരം അറിയിക്കണം. വിവരങ്ങളിൽ കഴമ്പുണ്ടെന്നും കൂടുതൽ അന്വേഷണം വേണമെന്നും തോന്നിയാൽ ഫോൺ ഹാജരാക്കാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെടും. ഡൽഹിയിലാണ് എത്തിക്കേണ്ടത്. പരിശോധനയ്ക്കു ശേഷം തിരിച്ചു നൽകുമെന്നും പരസ്യത്തിൽ പറയുന്നു.പൗരന്മാരുടെ വിവരങ്ങൾ ചോർത്താൻ പെഗസസ് സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയർ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നോ എന്ന ചോദ്യത്തിന് പാർലമെൻ്റിലും  കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ കൃത്യമായ മറുപടി നൽകിയിരുന്നില്ല.

The Supreme Court appointed panel of experts has sought evidence on the alleged use of NSO group's Pegasus spy software to steal phone information, including from high-ranking officials. The evidence was sought through a newspaper advertisement. Evidence must be submitted by email to inquiry@pegasus-india-investigation.in by the 7th of this month.

The apex court had last October appointed its own panel to reject the Centre's suggestion that it could appoint an expert panel to probe the Pegasus leak. A three-member panel headed by Justice RV Raveendran was appointed to look into the matter. It was alleged that the phones of politicians, journalists and activists were leaked. The committee is also investigating whether the central government has used Pegasus software to leak information about citizens of the country.

Those who think they have spy software on their phone should report the information along with the reason. If the information is valid and further investigation is required, the phone will be asked to be produced. To be delivered to Delhi.
