പെഗാസസ് - ബിജെപി ജനാധിപത്യത്തെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു. വിഷയം പാർലിമെൻ്റിൽ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യാന്‍ തയ്യാറായില്ലെന്ന് ശശി തരൂര്‍

ഏകപക്ഷീയമായ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങള്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ബിജെപി ജനാധിപത്യത്തെ പരിഹസിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എംപി ശശി തരൂര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. രാഷ്ട്രീയ അജണ്ടകള്‍ക്ക് വേണ്ടി ജനാധിപത്യത്തിന്റെ പാര്‍ലമെന്റിനെ ബിജെപി റബര്‍ സ്റ്റാമ്പാക്കി മാറ്റി. ബിജെപിക്ക് അവരുടെ  ഏകപക്ഷീയമായ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങള്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കാനുള്ള നോട്ടീസ് ബോര്‍ഡ് മാത്രമാണ് പാര്‍ലമെൻ്റ്. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ജനാധിപത്യത്തെ അവര്‍ പരിഹസിക്കുകയാണെന്നും ശശി തരൂര്‍ തുറന്നടിച്ചു. പി ടി ഐക്ക് നല്‍കിയ അഭിമുഖത്തിലാണ് കേന്ദ്രം ഭരിക്കുന്ന മോദി സര്‍ക്കാരിനെതിരെയുള്ള ശശി തരൂരിൻ്റെ രൂക്ഷവിമര്‍ശം. 

ഐ.ടി പാര്‍ലമെൻ്ററി സ്റ്റാൻ്റിങ് കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ യോഗം അവസാനമായി ചേര്‍ന്നത് ജൂലായ് 28നാണ്, എന്നാൽ അന്ന് യോഗം ബിജെപി അലങ്കോലമാക്കി. പെഗസസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ആരോപണങ്ങള്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യേണ്ടതില്ലെന്നും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തേണ്ടതില്ലെന്നുമായിരുന്നു ബിജെപി അംഗങ്ങളുടെ നിലപാട്. പാനല്‍ വിളിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരോട് യോഗത്തില്‍ ഹാജരാകേണ്ടതില്ലെന്ന് ബി.ജെ.പി നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കിയിരിക്കാമെന്ന് ശശി തരൂര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. കാരണം, അവസാന മിനിറ്റില്‍ ഓരോ ഒഴിവുകഴിവുകള്‍ പറഞ്ഞായിരുന്നു ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ മീറ്റിങ്ങില്‍ നിന്നും മാനിനിന്നതെന്നും തരൂര്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു. പെഗാസസ് വിഷയവും കര്‍ഷക പ്രതിഷേധവും ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യണണെന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് പ്രതിപക്ഷം പാര്‍ലമെൻ്റ്  വര്‍ഷകാല സമ്മേളനത്തിലുണ്ടായ ബഹളത്തെ സൂചിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു ശശി തരൂരിൻ്റെ പ്രതികരണം.

The meeting of the IT Parliamentary Standing Committee was last held on July 28, but the meeting was disrupted by the BJP on that day. The BJP members were of the view that the allegations relating to Pegasus should not be discussed and officials should not be summoned. Shashi Tharoor said the BJP may have directed the officials summoned by the panel not to attend the meeting. Because in the last minute, tharoor added, the officials had made excuses and stayed away from the meeting. Shashi Tharoor's response was to mention the uproar at the Opposition Parliamentary Annual Conference demanding that the Pegasus issue and the farmers' protest be discussed.
