വെടിനിർത്തല്‍ ലംഘനം, സുമിയിലെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദ്യാർഥികളെ ഒഴിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് നിർത്തിവെച്ചു

വെടിനിർത്തല്‍ ലംഘനത്തെ തുടർന്ന് സുമിയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളെ ഒഴിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് നിര്‍ത്തിവെച്ചതായി ഇന്ത്യന്‍ എംബസി. പോകേണ്ട വഴികളിൽ സ്‌ഫോടനങ്ങൾ നടക്കുന്നതിനാൽ യാത്ര സുരക്ഷിതമായിരിക്കില്ലെന്നുള്ള വിലയിരുത്തലിനെ തുടർന്നാണ് വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളെ ഒഴിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് നിര്‍ത്തിവെച്ചത്. ഈ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ വെടിനിര്‍ത്തല്‍ ലംഘനങ്ങളുണ്ടെന്നാണ് ലഭിക്കുന്ന റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍.

'ബസുകള്‍ ഇനിയൊരു അറിയിപ്പ് ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതുവരെ പുറപ്പെടില്ല. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികൾ ഹോസ്റ്റലിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങാണമെന്ന് അഭ്യര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. ഈ  മേഖലയില്‍ വെടിനിര്‍ത്തല്‍ ലംഘനമുണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. തുടര്‍ നിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുക', എന്നാണ് വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്ക് എംബസിയിൽനിന്ന് ലഭിച്ച സന്ദേശം. വിദ്യാർഥികളെ ബസില്‍ കയറ്റിയ ശേഷമാണ് ഒഴിപ്പിക്കല്‍ നടപടി നിർത്തിവെക്കേണ്ടിവന്നത്.  

മനുഷ്യത്വ ഇടനാഴി അംഗീകരിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയില്ലെന്ന് യുക്രൈനിന്‍ നേരത്തെതന്നെ നിലപാടെടുത്തിരുന്നു. ഏകദേശം 700-ഓളം വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളാണ് സുമിയില്‍ കുടുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. അതില്‍ മുന്നൂറോളം പേര്‍ മലയാളികളാണ്.

സുമിയില്‍നിന്നടക്കമുള്ള ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളെ ഒഴിപ്പിച്ചു. ഓപ്പറേഷൻ ഗംഗ അവസാനഘട്ടത്തിൽ

The Indian embassy has suspended the eviction of Indian students from Sumi following a ceasefire violation. The evacuation of students was halted following an assessment that the journey would not be safe as there were explosions on the way. There are reports of ceasefire violations in these areas.

'Buses will not leave until further notice. Students are requested to return to the hostel. There have been ceasefire violations in this area. Wait for further instructions', the students received a message from the embassy. The evacuation had to be stopped after the students were put on the bus.

Ukraine had earlier stated that it could not accept the Humanitarian Corridor. About 700 students are trapped in Sumi. About 300 of them are Malayalees.
