ഗുജറാത്ത് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി വിജയ് രൂപാണി രാജിവെച്ചു

ഗുജറാത്ത്‌ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയും ബിജെപി നേതാവുമായ വിജയ്‌ രൂപാണി രാജിവച്ചു. അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായാണ്‌ രൂപാണി രാജിക്കാര്യം അറിയിച്ചത്‌. ഗവർണറെ കണ്ട് രാജിക്കത്ത് കൈമാറി. നിയമസഭ കാലാവധി അവസാനിക്കാൻ ഒരു വർഷം കൂടി ബാക്കിനിൽക്കെയാണ്‌ രാജി. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയാകുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ്‌ ആനന്ദിബെൻ പട്ടേൽ മന്ത്രിസഭയിൽ അംഗമായിരുന്നു. ബിജെപി സംസ്ഥാന പ്രസിഡന്റായും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. രാജ്കോട്ട് വെസ്റ്റ് മണ്ഡലത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് നിയമസഭയിലെത്തിയത്‌.

"പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയുടെ മാർഗനിർദേശപ്രകാരം ഗുജറാത്തിന്റെ വികസനത്തിനായി അഞ്ച് വർഷം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. ഇപ്പോൾ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ കൂടുതൽ വികസനത്തിനായി, പുതിയ ഊർജവും ശക്തിയും വേണ്ടതിനാൽ ഞാൻ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി സ്ഥാനം രാജിവയ്‌ക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു’'– രൂപാണി പ്രസ്താവനയിൽ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.ബിജെപിക്കുള്ളിൽ രൂപാണിക്കെതിരെ നടന്ന പടയൊരുക്കത്തിന്റെ ഫലമാണ് രാജിയെന്നാണ് സൂചന. എല്ലാ മന്ത്രിമാരും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിക്കെതിരായിരുന്നു എന്നു റിപ്പോർട്ടുകളുണ്ട്. കേന്ദ്ര നേതൃത്വത്തിന്റെ നിർദേശത്തെ തുടർന്നാണ് രാജി.ആനന്ദി ബെന്‍ പട്ടേലിന്റെ പിന്‍ഗാമിയായി 2016ലാണ് വിജയ് രൂപാണി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി സ്ഥാനത്തെത്തിയത്. 2017ലെ നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിനുശേഷം അദ്ദേഹംതന്നെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായി തുടർന്നു. രാജ്കോട്ട് വെസ്റ്റ് മണ്ഡലത്തിൽനിന്നാണ് രൂപാണി വിജയിച്ചത്. പുതിയ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ആരെന്നതിനെച്ചൊല്ലി ചർച്ചകൾ ആരംഭിച്ചു.

Gujarat chief minister and bjp leader Vijay Rupani resigned unexpectedly. Rupani met the governor and handed over his resignation with a year to go before the expiry of the assembly term. Anandiben Patel was a member of the cabinet before becoming chief minister and also served as bjp state president. He came to the assembly from Rajkot west constituency.

"Worked for five years for the development of Gujarat under the guidance of prime minister Narendra Modi. Now, for further development of the state, i have decided to resign as chief minister as i need new energy and strength"– Rupani said in a statement. The resignation is likely to be the result of a campaign against Rupani within the bjp. There are reports that all the ministers were against the chief minister. Vijay Rupani succeeded Anandi Ben Patel as chief minister in 2016 following the directions of the central leadership. He himself remained chief minister after the 2017 assembly elections. Rupani won from Rajkot west constituency. Discussions began over who would be the new chief minister.
