ഒരു വർഷത്തെ എല്ലാ ഗ്രാൻസ്‌ലാം കിരീടങ്ങളും നേടുക എന്ന കലണ്ടർ സ്‌ലാം നേട്ടവും ഫൈനൽ തോൽവിയോടെ ജോക്കോയ്ക്കു നഷ്ടമായി. . കലണ്ടർ സ്‌ലാം കൈവരിച്ചാൽ ഡോൺ ബഡ്ജിനും (1938) റോഡ് ലേവർക്കും (1969) ശേഷം ഈ നേട്ടത്തിലെത്തുന്ന ആദ്യ പുരുഷ താരമാകുമായിരുന്നു ജോക്കോ. 2015ൽ യുഎസ് ഓപ്പൺ ഫൈനലിലെ തോൽവിയോടെ സെറീന വില്യംസിനും കലണ്ടർ സ്‌ലാം നഷ്ടമായിരുന്നു.

Djokovic's desire did not blossom! The rare feat of achieving the calendar slam along with the 21st grant slam title was abandoned on the threshold. 2nd seed Daniil Medvedev became champion after beating first seed Novak Djokovic in the us open tennis final at arthur ashe stadium. Russian star Medvedev beat Djokovic in straight sets. Score: 6–4, 6–4, 6–4.

This is Medvedev’s first grant slam title. It is also noteworthy that after 21 years, a Russian star becomes a us open tennis champion. If he had won the final, Djokovic would have won the record for the most grand slam men's player with the 21st grant slam title. Serbian star Djokovic is currently with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal with 20 grans lam singles titles in his career.

With the final defeat, Joko lost the calendar slam achievement of winning all one-year grant slam titles. . If he achieved the calendar slam, Joko would have been the first male star to achieve this feat since don budj (1938) and rod lake (1969). Serena Williams also lost the calendar slam with a loss in the us open final in 2015.
