വ്ലാഡിമിർ പുടിൻ ഡൽഹിയിൽ, സ്വീകരിച്ച് മോദി
ഇന്ത്യയും റഷ്യയുമായുള്ള ബന്ധം ഊട്ടിയുറപ്പിച്ച് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയും റഷ്യൻ പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് വ്ലാഡിമിർ പുടിനും കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തി. ഡൽഹി ഹൈദരാബാദ് ഹൗസിലെത്തിയ പുടിനെ മോദി സ്വീകരിച്ചു. കോവിഡിനെതിരായ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പോരാട്ടത്തിൽ റഷ്യ നൽകിയ പിന്തുണയ്ക്കു നന്ദിയുണ്ടെന്ന് മോദി അറിയിച്ചു. ഈ കാലഘട്ടത്തിലെ പുടിൻ്റെ സന്ദർശനം ഇന്ത്യയും റഷ്യയുമായുള്ള ബന്ധത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നതാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
കോവിഡ് വെല്ലുവിളിയായി നിന്നെങ്കിലും ഇന്ത്യ– റഷ്യ ബന്ധത്തിന്റെ വളർച്ചയ്ക്കു യാതൊരു മാറ്റവും സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ശക്തരാകാന്‍ നയതന്ത്ര ബന്ധം തുടരുമെന്നും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെയും റഷ്യയുടെയും സൈനിക സഹകരണം സമാനതകളില്ലാത്തതാണെന്ന് പുടിൻ പറഞ്ഞു. ഭീകരതയ്ക്കെതിരെ ഒരുമിച്ചു പോരാടുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
‘ഭീകരതയ്ക്കെതിരായ പോരാട്ടമെന്നത് ലഹരിമരുന്നിനെതിരെയും സംഘടിത കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെയും ഉള്ള പോരാട്ടമാണ്. ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ അഫ്ഗാനിസ്ഥാനിലെ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ റഷ്യയ്ക്ക് ഉത്കണ്ഠയുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യയെ വൻശക്തിയായാണു കാണുന്നത്. അവർ ഞങ്ങളുടെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളാണ്. ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധം വളരുകയാണ്, ഞാൻ ഭാവിയിലേക്കാണു നോക്കുന്നത്.
ഇരു രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളും സംയുക്തമായി നടത്തുന്ന നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളുടെ മൂല്യം 38 ബില്യനാണ്. റഷ്യയുടെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്ന് ഇനിയും നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളുണ്ടാകും. സൈനിക, സാങ്കേതിക തലങ്ങളിൽ മറ്റേതു രാജ്യത്തേക്കാളും കൂടുതൽ ഇന്ത്യയും റഷ്യയും സഹകരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്’– പുടിൻ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin have met to strengthen ties between India and Russia. Modi received Putin on his arrival at the Hyderabad House in Delhi. Modi thanked Russia for its support in India's fight against Covid. He said Putin's visit during this period underscored the importance of relations between India and Russia.
Despite Covid's challenge, the growth of India-Russia relations has not changed. He said diplomatic relations would continue to strengthen. Putin said India's and Russia's military cooperation is unparalleled. He said they would fight terrorism together. ‘The fight against terrorism is the fight against drugs and organized crime. In this context, Russia is concerned about the situation in Afghanistan. India is seen as a superpower. They are our friends. The relationship between the two countries is growing and I look to the future.
The combined investment of the two countries is worth $38 billion. There will still be investments from the Russian side. "India and Russia are cooperating more militarily and technically than any other country," Putin said.
