ഇന്നലെ യുക്രെയ്ൻ തലസ്ഥാനമായ കീവിലെത്തി ചർച്ച നടത്തിയ ജർമൻ ചാൻസലർ ഒലാഫ് ഷോൾസ് ഇന്നു മോസ്കോയിലെത്തി പ്രസിഡന്റ് വ്ലാഡിമിർ പുടിനെ കാണും. യുക്രെയ്നിൻ്റെ അതിർത്തികളിൽ  ഒരുലക്ഷത്തിലേറെ സൈനികരെ നിയോഗിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള റഷ്യയുടെ നിലപാടിൽ ഇതുവരെ മാറ്റം വന്നിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് മാത്രമല്ല ബെലാറൂസ് അതിർത്തിയിലെ സംയുക്ത സൈനികാഭ്യാസവും കരിങ്കടലിലെ നാവികാഭ്യാസവും റഷ്യ തുടരുകായും ചെയ്യുന്നു. നിലവിൽ സംഘർഷ സാഹചര്യം കാരണം റഷ്യയിലെയും യൂറോപ്യൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെയും ഓഹരി കമ്പോളങ്ങളിൽ വീണ്ടും വൻ  ഇടിവുണ്ടായി. എന്ന വില 9 വർഷത്തെ ഉയർന്ന വിലയിൽ എത്തി. നാറ്റോയിൽ ചേരുന്ന കാര്യം പുനഃപരിശോധിക്കാമെന്നു യുകെയിലെ യുക്രെയ്ൻ അംബാസഡർ പ്രിസ്റ്റായികോ പറഞ്ഞതായി നേരത്തെ അന്തർദേശീയ മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തിരുന്നെങ്കിലും നാറ്റോ വിഷയത്തിലൊഴികെ മറ്റേതു കാര്യത്തിലും പുനഃപരിശോധന ആകാമെന്നാണു പറഞ്ഞതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പിന്നീട് തിരുത്തി.

യുക്രെയ്ൻ നാറ്റോ സഖ്യത്തിൽ ചേരില്ലെന്ന് പരസ്യമായി സമ്മതിച്ചാൽ തന്നെ റഷ്യയുടെ ആശങ്ക പരിഹരിക്കപെടുമെന്ന് റഷ്യൻ വക്താവ് ദിമിത്രി പെസ്കോവ് പറഞ്ഞു. നാറ്റോ സഖ്യം യുക്രെയ്നിന് ആയുധ സഹായവും സൈനിക പരിശീലനവും നൽകുന്നത് തങ്ങളുടെ സുരക്ഷയ്ക്കു ഭീഷണിയാണെന്നാണ് റഷ്യൻ വാദം. നാറ്റോ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ യുക്രെയ്നിന് നിലവിൽ  നൽകുന്ന സൈനികസഹായവും നിർത്തിവയ്ക്കണമെന്നതാണ് റഷ്യയുടെ ആവശ്യം. സംഘർഷാവസ്ഥ കണക്കിലെടുത്ത്, യുക്രെയ്നിലെ എംബസി ജീവനക്കാരടക്കം തങ്ങളുടെ പൗരന്മാരെ പലരാജ്യങ്ങളും ഇതിനോടകം തിരികെ വിളിച്ചുകഴിഞ്ഞു. 

സംഘർഷാവസ്ഥയ്ക്ക് അയവ് വരുത്താൻ പല രാജ്യങ്ങളും അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തലത്തിൽ ശക്തമായ നയതന്ത്ര ഇടപെടലുകൾ നടത്തിവരികയാണ്.
