26 ആമത് കേരള രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയില്‍ അപ്രതീക്ഷിത അതിഥിയായി നടി ഭാവന. വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ശേഷമാണ് ഭാവന കേരള രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നത്. മലയാളത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട അഭിനേത്രിയും, പോരാട്ടത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രതീകവുമായ ഭാവനയെ വേദിയിലേക്ക് സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നുവെന്ന് ചലച്ചിത്ര അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ രഞ്ജിത്ത് പറഞ്ഞു. ഉത്ഘാടന ചടങ്ങിലേക്ക് ഭാവന അതിഥിയായെത്തുന്ന വിവരം സംഘാടകര്‍ പുറത്തുവിട്ടിരുന്നില്ല. ഹര്‍ഷാരവങ്ങളോടെയാണ് ഭാവനയെ സിനിമപ്രേമികള്‍ ചടങ്ങിലേക്ക് സ്വീകരിച്ചത്. സംവിധായകനും ബോളിവുഡ് നവസിനിമയുടെ സാരഥിയുമായ അനുരാഗ് കശ്യപായിരുന്നു ചടങ്ങിലെ മുഖ്യാതിഥി.
നിശാഗന്ധി തിയേറ്ററില്‍ നടന്ന ഉത്ഘാടന ചടങ്ങ് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയന്‍ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. സാംസ്‌കാരിക വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി സജി ചെറിയാനാണ് ചടങ്ങിൻ്റെ അധ്യക്ഷന്‍. തുര്‍ക്കിയില്‍ ഐ എസ് ഐ എസ് തീവ്രവാദികള്‍ നടത്തിയ ബോംബാക്രമണത്തില്‍ ഇരുകാലുകളും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട കുര്‍ദിഷ് സംവിധായിക ലിസ ചലാന് സ്പിരിറ്റ് ഓഫ് സിനിമ പുരസ്‌കാരം നല്‍കി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ആദരിക്കും. പൊതുവിദ്യാഭ്യാസ, തൊഴില്‍ വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി വി.ശിവന്‍കുട്ടി, ഗതാഗതവകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി ആന്റണി രാജു എന്നിവരും ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

Actress Bhavana is an unexpected guest at the 26th Kerala International Film Festival. Bhavana is participating in the Kerala International Film Festival years later. Chalachithra Academy Chairman Ranjith said that Bhavana, a beloved Malayalam actress and a symbol of struggle, is welcome on stage. The organizers have not released any information about the imaginary guest who will be attending the inauguration ceremony. Bhavana was received by the film lovers with great enthusiasm. Director and Bollywood newcomer Anurag Kashyap was the chief guest at the event.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the inaugural function at the Nishagandhi Theater. Culture Minister Saji Cherian will preside over the function. The Chief Minister will honor the Kurdish director Lisa Challan, who lost both her legs in the ISIS bombing in Turkey, with the Spirit of Cinema award. Public Education and Labor Minister V Sivankutty and Transport Minister Antony Raju were also present on the occasion.
