സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ബസ്, ഓട്ടോ, ടാക്‌സി ചാര്‍ജ് കൂട്ടി. മിനിമം ബസ്സിന് ചാര്‍ജ് 10 രൂപ

സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ബസ്, ഓട്ടോ-ടാക്‌സി നിരക്കുകള്‍ വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ചു. ബസ്സ് ചാര്‍ജ് മിനിമം എട്ടുരൂപയില്‍ നിന്ന് പത്ത് രൂപയായും ഓട്ടോയുടെ നിരക്ക്‌ മിനിമം 25 രൂപയായിരുന്നത് 30 രൂപയാക്കിയുമാണ് വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ചത്. ബസ് ചാര്‍ജ് മിനിമം കഴിഞ്ഞുള്ള ഓരോ കിലോമീറ്ററിനും 90 പൈസ ആയിരുന്നത് ഒരു രൂപവെച്ച് വര്‍ധിക്കും.ഓട്ടോ ചാര്‍ജ് (മിനിമം) നേരത്തെ ഒന്നര കിലോമീറ്ററിന് 25 രൂപയായിരുന്നത് രണ്ട് കിലോമീറ്ററിന് 30 രൂപയാക്കി വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ഓരോ കിലോമീറ്ററിനും 15 രൂപ ഈടാക്കും . അധികം സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ദൂരത്തിന് കിലോമീറ്ററിന് ഇതുവരെ 12 രൂപയായിരുന്നു.നാല് ചക്ര ഓട്ടോകൾക്ക് നിലവിലെ നിരക്ക് ഒന്നര കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ മിനിമം ചാര്‍ജ് 30 രൂപയായിരുന്നു. ഇത് രണ്ട് കിലോമീറ്ററിന് 35 രൂപയാക്കാനും തീരുമാനിച്ചു. അധികം വരുന്ന കിലോമീറ്ററിന് നിലവിലുള്ള 12 രൂപയില്‍ നിന്ന് 15 രൂപയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

1500 സി സിക്ക് താഴെയുള്ള ടാക്‌സി കാറുകളുടെ മിനിമം ചാര്‍ജ് അഞ്ചു കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വരെ 200 രൂപയാക്കി. നേരത്തെ 175 രൂപയായിരുന്നു. അധികം വരുന്ന കിലോമീറ്ററിന് 15 രൂപയായിരുന്നത് 18 രൂപയായി ഉയർത്തി. 1500 സിസിക്ക് മുകളിലുള്ള ടാക്‌സി കാറുകള്‍ക്ക് അഞ്ചുകിലോമീറ്റര്‍ മിനിമം ചാര്‍ജ് 200-ല്‍ നിന്ന് 225 രൂപയാക്കി വർധിപ്പിച്ചു. അധികംവരുന്ന ഓരോ കിലോമീറ്ററിനും നിലവില്‍ 17 രൂപ എന്നുള്ളത് 20 രൂപയാക്കി ഉയർത്തി. ഓട്ടോ - ടാക്സി എന്നിവയുടെ വെയ്റ്റിങ് ചാര്‍ജ്, രാത്രികാല യാത്ര എന്നിവയുടെ നിരക്കില്‍ മാറ്റമില്ല ഗതാഗത മന്ത്രി അറിയിച്ചു. നിരക്ക് വർദ്ധനവ് സംബന്ധിച്ച് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഉത്തരവ് പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നതോടെ പുതിയ നിരക്ക് പ്രാബല്യത്തില്‍ വരുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളുടെ കണ്‍സെഷന്‍ നിലവിൽ മാറ്റമില്ലാതെ തുടരുമെന്നും, എന്നാൽ ഇത് സംബന്ധിച്ച് കൂടുതല്‍ ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ ആവശ്യമാണെന്നും ഗതാഗത മന്ത്രി ആന്റണി രാജു പറഞ്ഞു. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളുടെ കണ്‍സെഷന്‍ നിരക്ക് വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കണമെന്ന ബസുടമകളുടെ ആവശ്യം ന്യായമാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ അത് സംബന്ധിച്ച് ഒരു കമ്മീഷനെ വെച്ച് പഠിക്കേണ്ടത് ആവശ്യമാണെന്നും ഇതിന് ശേഷം തീരുമാനം എടുക്കുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി അറിയിച്ചു.

Bus and auto-taxi fares have been increased in the state. The bus fare has been increased from a minimum of Rs 8 to Rs 10 and the auto fare has been increased from a minimum of Rs 25 to Rs 30. The bus fare will be increased by 90 paise per km after the minimum. The auto charge (minimum) has been increased from Rs 25 per 1.5 km to Rs 30 per two km. Thereafter a fare of Rs 15 will be levied for each kilometer traveled. For long distance travel, the fare has been Rs 12 per km so far. It was also decided to increase it to Rs 35 per two kilometers. It has been increased from Rs 12 to Rs 15 per additional kilometer.

The minimum charge for taxis below 1500cc has been increased to Rs 200 for up to 5 km. Earlier it was Rs 175. The additional km has been increased from Rs 15 to Rs 18. For taxis above 1500 cc, the minimum charge for 5 km has been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 225. The current rate of Rs 17 has been increased to Rs 20 for each additional kilometer. There will be no change in the waiting charge for auto-taxi and overnight fares, the transport minister said. He said the new rates would come into effect as soon as the government issues an order regarding the hike.

Transport Minister Antony Raju said the student concession would remain unchanged but more discussions were needed. The bus owners' demand for an increase in student concession rates is justified. However, the minister said that a commission was needed to look into the matter and a decision would be taken after that.
