യുക്രൈനില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിക്ക് വെടിയേറ്റതായി സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ച്‌ കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി വി കെ സിങ്
കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാരിൻ്റെ യുക്രൈനിലെ ഒഴിപ്പിക്കൽ നടപടിയായ ഓപ്പറേഷന്‍ ഗംഗയ്ക്കിടയില്‍, യുക്രൈനില്‍ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിക്ക് വെടിയേറ്റു. കീവില്‍ നിന്ന് സുരക്ഷിത കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് സംഭവമുണ്ടായത്. പോളണ്ടില്‍ രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തിന് നേതൃത്വം നൽകുന്ന കേന്ദ്ര വ്യോമയാന സഹമന്ത്രി വി കെ സിങ്ങാണ്‌ ഇക്കാര്യം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചത്. എന്നാല്‍ ഇത് സംബന്ധിച്ച് കൂടുതല്‍ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ അറിവായിട്ടില്ല.
കീവില്‍ നിന്ന് വന്ന ഒരു വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിക്ക് വെടിയേറ്റതായും ഇതിനേ തുടര്‍ന്ന് പാതിവഴിയില്‍വെച്ച് തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുപോയതായും വിവരം ലഭിച്ചതായി കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രി വി കെ സിങ്ങിനെ ഉദ്ധരിച്ച് വാര്‍ത്താ ഏജന്‍സിയായ എഎന്‍എ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് തെയ്തു. ജീവഹാനിയുണ്ടാകാതെ പരമാവധി പേരെ ഒഴിപ്പിക്കാനാണ് ശ്രമിക്കുന്നതെന്നും വി കെ സിങ് പറഞ്ഞു.
നേരത്തെ കിഴക്കന്‍ യുക്രൈനിലെ ഹാര്‍കിവ് നഗരത്തിലെ ജനവാസകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ റഷ്യയുടെ ഷെല്ലാക്രമണത്തില്‍ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. കര്‍ണാടകയിലെ ഹവേരി ജില്ലയിലെ ചലഗേരി സ്വദേശി നവീന്‍ എസ്.ജി.യാണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഹാര്‍കിവ് നാഷണല്‍ മെഡിക്കല്‍ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിലെ അവസാനവര്‍ഷ മെഡിക്കല്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിയായിരുന്നു നവീന്‍.

Earlier, an Indian student was killed in a Russian shelling attack on a residential area in the eastern Ukrainian city of Karkiv. The deceased was identified as Naveen SG, a native of Chalageri in Haveri district of Karnataka. Naveen was a final year medical student at Karkiv National Medical University.
