മീഡിയ വൺ ചാനലിൻ്റെ കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ വിലക്ക് തുടരും. കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ വിലക്ക് അംഗീകരിച്ച സിംഗിൾ ബെഞ്ച് ഉത്തരവിനെതിരായ അപ്പീൽ ഡിവിഷൻ ബെഞ്ച് തള്ളി. സിംഗിൾ ബെഞ്ചിൻ്റെ ഉത്തരവിൽ ഇടപെടേണ്ടതില്ലെന്ന് ഹൈക്കോടതി ഡിവിഷൻ ബെഞ്ച് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ചീഫ് ജസ്റ്റിസ് ഉൾപ്പെട്ട ഡിവിഷൻ ബെഞ്ചാണ് അപ്പീൽ തള്ളിയത്. സുപ്രീം കോടതിയിൽനിന്ന് അനുകൂല വിധി സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നത് വരെ ചാനലിൻ്റെ സംപ്രേക്ഷണം തടസപ്പെടും. സിംഗിൾ ബെഞ്ച് ഉത്തരവിൽ ഇടപെടേണ്ട സാഹചര്യം ഇല്ലെന്നാണ് ഡിവിഷൻ ബെഞ്ച് വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.

മീഡിയ വൺ ചാനൽ ഉടമകളായ മാധ്യമം ബ്രോഡ്‌കാസ്റ്റിങ് ലിമിറ്റഡും ചാനൽ ജീവനക്കാരും കേരള പത്രപ്രവർത്തക യൂണിയനും നൽകിയ അപ്പീലുകളാണ് ചീഫ് ജസ്റ്റിസ് അടങ്ങുന്ന ഡിവിഷൻബെഞ്ച് തള്ളിയത്. കേന്ദ്ര ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻ്റെ സുരക്ഷാ ക്ലിയറൻസില്ലെന്നതിൻ്റെ പേരിലായിരുന്നു ചാനലിൻ്റെ സംപ്രേഷണം വാർത്താവിതരണ പ്രക്ഷേപണമന്ത്രാലയം ജനുവരി 31-ന് നിർത്തിവെപ്പിച്ചത്. നിലവിൽ ചാനൽ യൂ ട്യൂബിൽ ലഭ്യമാണ്. 

കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ സംപ്രേക്ഷണ വിലക്കിനെതിരെ മീഡിയ വണ്‍ ഉടമകളായ മാധ്യമം ബ്രോഡ്കാസ്റ്റിങ് ലിമിറ്റഡ് സുപ്രീം കോടതിയെ സമീപിച്ചു. ഹര്‍ജി അടിയന്തിരമായി കേള്‍ക്കണമെന്ന് മാധ്യമം ബ്രോഡ്കാസ്റ്റിങ് ലിമിറ്റഡ് അഭിഭാഷകര്‍ വഴി നാളെ സുപ്രീം കോടതിയില്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെടും. ചീഫ് ജസ്റ്റിസ് എന്‍ വി രമണ അധ്യക്ഷനായ ബെഞ്ചിന് മുമ്പാകെയാണ് ആവശ്യം ഉന്നയിക്കുക. സംപ്രേക്ഷണ വിലക്ക് ശരിവച്ച ഹൈക്കോടതി ഡിവിഷന്‍ ബെഞ്ച് വിധിക്ക് എതിരെ മണിക്കൂറുകള്‍ക്കമാണ് അഭിഭാഷകരായ ഹാരിസ് ബീരാന്‍, പല്ലവി പ്രതാപ് എന്നിവര്‍ മുഖേനെ മീഡിയ വണ്‍ സുപ്രീംകോടതിയില്‍ ഹര്‍ജി ഫയല്‍ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. 

The Central Government will continue to ban Media One channel. The appellate division bench dismissed the single bench order upholding the ban by the Central Government. The High Court Division Bench clarified that it should not interfere with the order of the Single Bench. The appeal was dismissed by a division bench comprising the Chief Justice. The channel will be suspended until a favorable verdict is obtained from the Supreme Court. The Division Bench held that there was no need to interfere with the Single Bench order.

A division bench comprising the Chief Justice dismissed the appeals filed by Media One Channel owners Madhyam Broadcasting Limited, channel employees and the Kerala Journalists Union. On January 31, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting suspended the channel's broadcast due to lack of security clearance from the Union Home Ministry. The channel is currently available on YouTube.
