സാമ്പത്തിക പ്രതിസന്ധി; പ്രതിഷേധം പടരുന്നു. ശ്രീലങ്കയില്‍ അടിയന്താരവസ്ഥ

സാമ്പത്തിക പ്രതിസന്ധിയിൽ ഉഴലുന്ന ശ്രീലങ്കയില്‍ ജനങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങള്‍ നിയന്ത്രണാതീതമായതോടെ അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. രോഷാകുലരായ ജനങ്ങള്‍  പ്രസിഡൻ്റിൻ്റെ സ്വകാര്യ വസതി ആക്രമിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് ശ്രീലങ്കന്‍ പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് ഗോതബായ രജപക്സെ അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതോടെ ലങ്കൻ സുരക്ഷാ സേനയ്ക്ക് കൂടുതല്‍ അധികാരങ്ങള്‍ കൈവന്നിരിക്കുകയാണ്. രാജ്യത്തുടനീളം "വീട്ടിൽ പോകു ഗോത" (Go Home Gota) എന്ന മുദ്രവാക്യം ഉയർത്തി പ്രസിഡൻ്റിനെ പുറത്താക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടുള്ള പ്രധിഷേധം ശക്തമാകുകയാണ്. ഇതിനിടെയാണ്, പ്രസിഡൻ്റിനെ പുറത്താക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടുള്ള പ്രകടനങ്ങളില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നവരെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യാനും വിചാരണ കൂടാതെ ദീര്‍ഘകാലം തടവില്‍വെക്കാനും സൈന്യത്തിന് അധികാരം നൽകുന്ന നിയമം പ്രാബല്യത്തിൽ വന്നത്. 

ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് കോളനി ആയിരുന്ന ലങ്ക 1948-ല്‍ സ്വാതന്ത്രമായതിന് ശേഷമുള്ള ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സാമ്പത്തിക പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലൂടെയാണ് ശ്രീ ലങ്ക കടന്ന് പോകുന്നത്. തെറ്റായ സാമ്പത്തിക കാർഷിക നയങ്ങൾ മൂലം 22 ദശലക്ഷത്തിലധികം ജനസംഖ്യയുള്ള ദ്വീപ് രാഷ്ട്രം അവശ്യവസ്തുക്കളുടെ കടുത്ത ക്ഷാമവും കുത്തനെയുള്ള വിലക്കയറ്റവും പവര്‍കട്ടുകളും കാരണം വലയുകയാണ്. രാജ്യ തലസ്ഥാനമായ കൊളംബോ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്ന പശ്ചിമ പ്രവിശ്യയില്‍ പോലീസ് വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച മുതൽ വീണ്ടും രാത്രികാല കര്‍ഫ്യൂ ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിതുടങ്ങി. നുവാരയില്‍, ശ്രീലങ്കൻ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മഹിന്ദ രാജപക്സെയുടെ ഭാര്യ ശിരന്തിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ പുഷ്പ പ്രദര്‍ശനം നടത്തുന്നത് പ്രതിഷേധക്കാര്‍ തടഞ്ഞതായി പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

ശ്രീലങ്കയുടെ തെക്കന്‍ പട്ടണങ്ങളായ ഗാലെ, മാത്തറ, മൊറാട്ടുവ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളും സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വിരുദ്ധ പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങള്‍ നടന്നു. വടക്കന്‍, മധ്യ മേഖലകളിലും സമാനമായ പ്രകടനങ്ങള്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഇതേത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് പ്രധാന റോഡുകളില്‍ എല്ലാം ഗതാഗതം തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടു. പ്രസിഡൻ്റിൻ്റെ സ്വകാര്യ വസതിക്ക് പുറത്ത് വ്യാഴാഴ്ച രാത്രി നടന്ന പ്രതിഷേധത്തില്‍ നൂറുകണക്കിന് ആളുകളാണ് അദ്ദേഹം സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് രംഗത്തെത്തിയത്. 'ഭ്രാന്തന്‍, വീട്ടിലേക്ക് പോകൂ' എന്ന് ആക്രോശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു പ്രതിഷേധം. തുടര്‍ന്ന് പോലീസ് കണ്ണീര്‍ വാതകം പ്രയോഗിക്കുകയും ജലപീരങ്കി ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

അക്രമാസക്തരായ ജനക്കൂട്ടം രണ്ട് സൈനിക ബസുകള്‍, ഒരു പോലീസ് ജീപ്പ്, രണ്ട് മോട്ടോര്‍സൈക്കിളുകള്‍, ഒരു ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷ എന്നിവ കത്തിച്ചു. ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ക്ക് നേരെ അവര്‍ ഇഷ്ടികകളും എറിഞ്ഞു. രണ്ട് പ്രതിഷേധക്കാര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു. 53 പ്രതിഷേധക്കാരെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തതായി പോലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. അഞ്ച് ന്യൂസ് ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫര്‍മാരെ തടഞ്ഞുവെക്കുകയും പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില്‍ എത്തിച്ച് ക്രൂരമായി പീഡിപ്പിക്കുകയും പ്രാദേശിക മാധ്യമ സംഘടനകള്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. സംഭവത്തെപ്പറ്റി അന്വേഷിക്കുമെന്ന് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ മാധ്യമ സംഘടനകള്‍ക്ക് ഉറപ്പുനല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
