യാത്രക്കാരെ കൊള്ളയടിക്കാനുറച്ച് ഇന്ത്യൻ റയിൽവേ. മംഗള എക്സ്പ്രസ്സിലും  ‘ഡൈനാമിക് പ്രൈസിങ്’ ഏർപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. ഇതോടെ എറണാകുളം– നിസാമുദീൻ മംഗള എക്സ്പ്രസ് ട്രെയിനിലും ആവശ്യക്കാർ കൂടുന്നതിനനുസരിച്ച് ടിക്കറ്റ് നിരക്ക് കൂടും. ജൂൺ 1 മുതലാണ് പുതിയ നിരക്ക് മാറ്റം നിലവിൽ വരുന്നത്. പ്രീമിയം ട്രെയിനുകളിൽ മാത്രമാണ് നിലവിൽ  ഈ രീതിയിലുള്ള ടിക്കറ്റ് വിൽപ്പനയുള്ളത്. ആവശ്യക്കാർ വർധിക്കുന്നതിനനുസരിച്ച് ടിക്കറ്റിൻ്റെ അടിസ്ഥാന നിരക്കിൻ്റെ 10– 50% വരെ വർധനയുണ്ടാകും. 

നിലവിലെ 72 ബെർത്ത് സെക്കൻഡ് ക്ലാസ് സ്ലീപ്പർ കോച്ചുകൾക്ക് പകരം 83 ബെർത്തുകളുള്ള ഇക്കണോമിക് എസി കോച്ചുകൾ മംഗളയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തും. ഇക്കണോമിക് എസി കോച്ചുകൾക്ക് തേഡ് എസിയേക്കാൾ 8% നിരക്ക് കുറവാണ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം മുതലാണ് പരീക്ഷണാർഥം ഇവ ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. ആധുനിക രീതിയിൽ സജ്ജീകരിച്ച എ സി കോച്ചുകളാണ് ഇവയെങ്കിലും നിരക്കു കൂടുകയാണെങ്കിൽ ഇതിൻ്റെ നേട്ടം യാത്രക്കാർക്കു ലഭിക്കാത്ത അവസ്ഥയുണ്ടാകും. റെയിൽവേയുടെ വരുമാനം കൂട്ടാനുള്ള കുറുക്ക് വഴിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി കൂടുതൽ ട്രെയിനുകളിൽ ഡൈനാമിക് നിരക്ക് ഏർപ്പെടുത്തുമെന്ന് സൂചനയുണ്ട്.
