ഗുജറാത്ത് ടൈറ്റൻസ് ആദ്യ ഐ പി എൽ സീസണിൽ ബോളിങ് കരുത്തിൽ രാജസ്ഥാനെ തളച്ച്, 7 വിക്കറ്റിൻ്റെ ആധികാരിക ജയത്തോടെ  ഐപിഎൽ കിരീടം സ്വന്തമാക്കി. രാജസ്ഥാൻ റോയൽസിൻ്റെ ആദ്യ ക്യാപ്റ്റനായിരുന്ന അന്തരിച്ച ഓസീസ് സ്പിൻ ഇതിഹാസം ഷെയ്ൻ വോണിനുവേണ്ടി ഐ പി എൽ കിരീടം ഉയർത്താൻ സഞ്ജു സാംസണും രാജസ്ഥാനും ഇനിയും കാത്തിരിക്കണം. 2008 ലെ ആദ്യ ഐ പി എൽ കിരീടം നേടിയത് ഷെയ്ൻ വോണിൻ്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള രാജസ്ഥാൻ റോയൽസ് ടീം ആയിരുന്നു. നിലവിൽ സഞ്ജു സാംസണാണ് രാജസ്ഥാൻ റോയൽസ് ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ.

Shubhman Gill and Hardik Pandya put on 63 for the third wicket as Rajasthan bowlers struggled to take two wickets for 23 runs. Gill was unbeaten on 45 off 43 balls, including three fours and a six. Hardick hit 34 off 30 balls, including three fours and a six. Then David Miller's shot (32 not out off 19 balls, including 3 fours and a six) ended Rajasthan's story.
