കാർഷിക നിയമങ്ങൾ പിൻവലിച്ച് രാജ്യത്തോട് മാപ്പ് പറഞ്ഞ് മോദി

വിവാദമായ മൂന്ന് കാർഷിക നിയമങ്ങളും പിൻവലിച്ച് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദി രാജ്യത്തോട് മാപ്പ് പറഞ്ഞു. ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ 9 മണിക്ക് രാജ്യത്തോട് നടത്തിയ അഭിസംബോധനയിലാണ് വിവാദ നിയമങ്ങൾ പൻവലിക്കുന്നതായ പ്രഖ്യാപനം നടത്തിയത്. 

കർഷക പ്രതിനിധികളുമായി നടത്തിയ പതിനൊന്നു ചർച്ചകളും പരാജയപ്പെട്ട്, കർഷകസമരത്തിന് ഒരു വർഷം  തികയാൻ വെറും ഒരാഴ്ച മാത്രം ബാക്കി നിൽക്കെയാണ് തീർത്തും അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ കാർഷിക നിയമങ്ങൾ പിൻവലിക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചത്. ഗുരുനാനാക് ജയന്തി ദിനത്തിൽ രാജ്യത്തെ കർഷകർക്കുള്ള സമ്മാനമെന്നായിരുന്നു, രണ്ടാം മോദി സർക്കാർ കഴിഞ്ഞ കൊല്ലം നടപ്പിലാക്കിയ നിയമങ്ങൾ പിൻവലിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്  പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി പറഞ്ഞത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഏഴു വർഷത്തെ മോദി ഭരണത്തിനിടെ ഒരു വിഷയത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള ആദ്യ പിന്മാറ്റം. 

നേരത്തെ ഇന്ധന വിലയിൽ ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്ന വലിയ നികുതിയുടെ ഒരുഭാഗം നികുതി കുറയ്ക്കാൻ കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ തീരുമാനിച്ചതും ജനങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലെ അമർഷം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ടു തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. ദീപാവലി ദിനത്തിൻ്റെ തലേന്നാണ് ഇന്ധന നികുതി കുറച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാർ പ്രഖ്യാപനം വന്നത്. ആ പ്രഖ്യപനവും ദീപാവലി സമ്മാനമായിട്ടായിരുന്നു പ്രഘ്യാപിച്ചത്. രാജ്യത്താകെ നിലനിന്നിരുന്ന കടുത്ത പ്രതിഷേധത്തെ ഒരു പരിധിവരെ തണുപ്പിക്കാൻ സർക്കാരിന് അതുവഴി സാധിച്ചു.

The decision of the Central Government to reduce the tax on a portion of the large amount of tax levied earlier on fuel prices was taken despite the resentment of the people. On the eve of Diwali, the central government announced a reduction in fuel tax. The announcement was also made as a Diwali gift. The government was thus able to quell to some extent the intense protests that had been going on throughout the country.
