ഇന്ത്യ അഞ്ചാം തലമുറ യുദ്ധവിമാനങ്ങൾ നിർമിക്കും, കൂടുതൽ കരുത്തോടെ വ്യോമസേന

ആകാശ കരുത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ ശക്തിയാർജിക്കാൻ ഇന്ത്യ. അഞ്ചാം തലമുറ യുദ്ധവിമാനങ്ങൾ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ തന്നെ നിർമിക്കാനുള്ള നടപടികൾ ആരംഭിച്ചു. ഇരട്ട എൻജിനുകളുള്ള അ‍‍ഡ്വാൻസ്ഡ് മീ‍ഡിയം കോംപാക്ട് എയർക്രാഫ്റ്റിൻ്റെ (എഎംസിഎ) പ്രോട്ടോടൈപ്പുകളുടെ അന്തിമ രൂപരേഖ പ്രതിരോധ, ധന മന്ത്രാലയങ്ങളുടെ അനുമതി ലഭിച്ച ശേഷം അടുത്തവർഷമാദ്യം കാബിനറ്റ് സുരക്ഷാ സമിതിയുടെ (സിസിഎസ്) അംഗീകാരത്തിനായി  അയയ്ക്കുമെന്ന്  കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാരുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വൃത്തങ്ങൾ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. 

അമേരിക്കൻ സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് അഞ്ചാം തലമുറ യുദ്ധവിമാനങ്ങൾ നിർമിക്കാൻ ഇന്ത്യ ഒരുങ്ങുന്നത്. ചൈനയുടെ ചെങ്ഡു ജെ-20, റഷ്യയുടെ സുഖോയ്–57 എന്നിവയ്ക്കാണ് നിലവിൽ അഞ്ചാം തലമുറ യുദ്ധവിമാനങ്ങളോട് ഏകദേശം സാമ്യമുള്ള സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യയുള്ളത്.

എഎംസിഎയുടെ നിർമാണപദ്ധതിക്ക് 15,000 കോടി രൂപ ചെലവുവരുമെന്നാണ് കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്. 2025–26ൽ ആദ്യ പ്രോട്ടോടൈപ്പ് തയാറാകുമെന്നും 2030ൽ നിർമാണം ആരംഭിക്കാമെന്നുമാണ് കരുതുന്നത്. നിലവിൽ, 30–32 ഫൈറ്റർ സ്ക്വാഡ്രണുകൾ മാത്രം കൈവശമുള്ള വ്യോമസേനയ്ക്കു പദ്ധതി നിർണായകമാണ്. 2018ലാണ് വ്യോമസേനയ്ക്ക് എഎംസിഎ നിർമാണത്തിന് അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചത്.

India to gain more air power. Steps have been taken to build fifth generation fighter jets in India. Sources close to the central government said that the final design of the twin-engine Advanced Medium Compact Aircraft (AMCA) prototype would be sent to the Cabinet Security Council (CCS) for approval early next year after obtaining the approval of the Ministries of Defense and Finance. India is preparing to build fifth generation fighter jets using American technology. China's Chengdu J-20 and Russia's Sukhoi-57 currently have technologies similar to those of the fifth generation fighter jets.

The central government expects the AMCA's construction project to cost Rs 15,000 crore. The first prototype is expected to be ready in 2025–26 and construction is expected to begin in 2030. The plan is crucial for the Air Force, which currently has only 30–32 fighter squadrons. In 2018, the Air Force received permission to build the AMCA.
