ഒമിക്രോണ്‍ - ഓക്സിജൻ ഉറപ്പാക്കണം, ഹോട്ടല്‍ മുറികൾ മാറ്റിവയ്ക്കണം

രാജ്യത്തെ പ്രതിദിന കോവിഡ് വ്യാപനം ഒരിടവേളയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം 20,000 കടക്കുകയും ഒമിക്രോണ്‍ കേസുകള്‍ 1500ന് അടുത്തെത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇതോടെ താല്‍ക്കാലിക ആശുപത്രികള്‍ ഒരുക്കാനും ഹോം  ഐസലേഷന്‍ നിരീക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ പ്രത്യേകസംഘത്തെ നിയോഗിക്കാനും കേന്ദ്ര ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രാലയം സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളോട് നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചു. സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ ഓക്സിജൻ ലഭ്യത പരിശോധിച്ച്‌ ഉറപ്പാക്കണം. നേരിയ രോഗലക്ഷണമുള്ളവരെ പാര്‍പ്പിക്കാന്‍ ഹോട്ടല്‍ മുറികളടക്കം മാറ്റിവയ്ക്കണം. ഗ്രാമീണമേഖലയ്ക്കും കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കും പ്രത്യേക ശ്രദ്ധ നല്‍കണം. ഓക്സിജന്‍, വെന്‍റിലേറ്റര്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവ കൃത്യമായി ഉറപ്പാക്കണം. ദ്രുതപരിശോധനാ ബൂത്തുകള്‍ തുടങ്ങണം. പനി, തലവേദന, തൊണ്ടവേദന, ശ്വാസതടസ്സം, ശരീരവേദന, രുചിയും മണവും നഷ്ടമാകല്‍, ക്ഷീണം, വയറിളക്കം എന്നിവ രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങളായി കണക്കാക്കി പരിശോധന വേണമെന്നും ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രാലയം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.

രാജ്യത്ത് ഇന്ന് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസത്തേക്കാള്‍ കോവിഡ് കേസുകള്‍ 35 ശതമാനം വർധിച്ചു. 22,775 പേര്‍ക്ക് രോഗബാധയും 406 മരണവുമാണ് 24 മണിക്കൂറിനിടെ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തത്. മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയില്‍ 10 മന്ത്രിമാരും 20 എംഎല്‍എമാരും കോവിഡ് രോഗികളാണെന്ന് ഉപമുഖ്യമന്ത്രി അജിത് പവാര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. രാജ്യത്ത് 1431 പേര്‍ക്കാണ് ഒമിക്രോണ്‍ സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചത്. മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയില്‍ 454, ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ 351 ഒമിക്രോണ്‍ കേസുകള്‍ സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു. 

സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് അതിവേഗമാണ് രോഗവ്യാപനമെന്ന് ഡല്‍ഹി ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രിയും, നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങള്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ കടുപ്പിക്കേണ്ടി വരുമെന്ന് മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര ഉപമുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയും പറഞ്ഞു. കേരളം അടക്കം അ‍ഞ്ചു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ നൂറില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ കേസുകളുണ്ട്. ചികിത്സാ സൗകര്യങ്ങളുടെ ആവശ്യകത പെട്ടെന്ന് ഉയരാമെന്ന് ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടനയുടെ ചീഫ് സയൻ്റിസ്റ്റ് സൗമ്യ സ്വാമിനാഥന്‍ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കി.

States should check and ensure the availability of oxygen. Hotel rooms should be set aside to accommodate those with mild symptoms. Special attention should be given to the rural areas and children. Oxygen and ventilator must be properly secured. Quick inspection booths should be started. The Ministry of Health said that fever, headache, sore throat, shortness of breath, body aches, loss of taste and smell, fatigue and diarrhea should be treated as symptoms.

Covid cases in the country today are 35 per cent higher than the previous day. 22,775 cases and 406 deaths were reported in 24 hours. In Maharashtra, 10 ministers and 20 MLAs are Covid patients, said Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Omicron has been confirmed for 1431 people in the country. There were 454 confirmed cases in Maharashtra and 351 in Delhi.

The Delhi health minister said the disease was spreading rapidly in the state and the Maharashtra deputy chief minister said the restrictions would have to be tightened. There are more than 100 cases in five states including Kerala. Soumya Swaminathan, chief scientist at the World Health Organization, warned that the need for medical facilities could rise sharply.
