ഉത്തര്‍ പ്രദേശ് തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് പ്രചാരണത്തിനിടെ തൻ്റെ വാഹനത്തിനു നേരെ വെടിവെപ്പുണ്ടായെന്ന് എ ഐ എം ഐ എം നേതാവ് അസദുദ്ദീന്‍ ഒവൈസി ഇന്നലെയാണ് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. നാലുപേരുള്ള സംഘമാണ് വെടിയുതിര്‍ത്തതെന്നും നാലു റൗണ്ട് വെടിവെച്ചെന്നും രണ്ടു ബുള്ളറ്റുകള്‍ കാറില്‍ തറച്ചുവെന്നും ഒവൈസി പറഞ്ഞു.
വ്യാഴാഴ്ച വൈകിട്ടോടെയാണ് സംഭവമെന്ന് ഒവൈസി ട്വിറ്ററിലൂടെ അറിയിച്ചു. മീററ്റിലെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് പ്രചാരണം കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഡല്‍ഹിയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങുന്നിതിനിടെ ഒരു ടോള്‍ പ്ലാസയ്ക്കു സമീപത്തുവെച്ചാണ് സംഭവം നടന്നതെന്ന് ഒവൈസി പറയുന്നു. അക്രമി സംഘം വാഹനത്തിനു നേര്‍ക്ക് നാല് റൗണ്ട് വെടിയുതിര്‍ത്തു. രണ്ടു ബുള്ളറ്റുകള്‍ വാഹനത്തില്‍ തറച്ചു. ശേഷം ആയുധം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് സംഘം ഓടിരക്ഷപ്പെട്ടുവെന്നാണ് ഒവൈസി പറയുന്നത്.

ടയര്‍ പഞ്ചറായതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് മറ്റൊരു വാഹനത്തില്‍ താന്‍ യാത്ര തുടര്‍ന്നെന്നും അപകടമൊന്നും സംഭവിച്ചില്ലെന്നും ഒവൈസി വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നുണ്ട്‌. സംഭവത്തില്‍ പോലീസ് അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അക്രമത്തിൽ പങ്കുണ്ടെന്ന് കരുതുന്ന രണ്ട് പേരെ പോലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. മീററ്റിലെ കിതൗദ് പ്രദേശത്ത് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വാഹനവ്യൂഹത്തിന് നേരെ വെടിയുതിർത്തതിന് രണ്ട് പേരെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തതായി പോലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. പ്രതികളിലൊരാളായ നോയിഡയിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന സച്ചിനെതിരെ നേരത്തെ വധശ്രമക്കേസ് നിലവിലുണ്ട്. താൻ നിയമ ബിരുദധാരിയാണെന്ന് ഇയാൾ അവകാശപ്പെട്ടെങ്കിലും, പോലീസ് അത് പരിശോധിച്ചുവരികയാണ്. ഇയാളുടെ ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് പ്രൊഫൈലിൽ, താൻ ഒരു ഹിന്ദു വലതുപക്ഷ സംഘടനയിലെ അംഗമാണെന്ന് സച്ചിൻ പറയുന്നു, ഈ അവകാശവാദം അന്വേഷിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു.
