ആൻ്റണി രാജ്യസഭയിലേക്കില്ല. തീരുമാനം ദേശീയ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിന് കനത്ത നഷ്ടം - പല്ലം രാജു

വീണ്ടും രാജ്യസഭയിലേക്ക് മത്സരിക്കാനില്ലെന്ന് എ കെ ആൻ്റണി ഹൈക്കമാൻ്റിനെ അറിയിച്ചു. തീരുമാനം പുറത്ത് വന്നതോടെ, എ കെ ആൻ്റണിയുടെ ഈ തീരുമാനത്തില്‍ പ്രതികരണവുമായി മുന്‍ കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രിയും കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് നേതാവുമായ പല്ലം രാജു എത്തി. ഈ വാര്‍ത്ത ശരിയാണെങ്കില്‍ ഇന്ത്യൻ ദേശീയ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിന് കനത്ത നഷ്ടമായിരിക്കുമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. രാജ്യസഭയിലേക്ക് ഒരു തവണകൂടി ആൻ്റണി അവസരം  തേടില്ലെന്ന വാര്‍ത്ത പങ്കുവെച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ട്വിറ്ററിലൂടെയാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രതികരണം. 'ഇത് ശരിയാണെങ്കില്‍ ദേശീയ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിനും സമഗ്രതയ്ക്കും കെട്ടുറപ്പിനും വലിയ നഷ്ടമായിരിക്കും', പല്ലം രാജു പറഞ്ഞു.

ഒന്നും രണ്ടും യുപിഎ സര്‍ക്കാരില്‍ മന്ത്രിയായിരുന്നു പല്ലം രാജു. കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിൻ്റെ മുതിര്‍ന്ന നേതാവായ ആൻ്റണിയുടെ രാജ്യസഭയിലെ കാലാവധി ഏപ്രില്‍ രണ്ടിന് അവസാനിക്കും. ഒഴിവുവരുന്ന സീറ്റിലേക്ക് വീണ്ടും മത്സരിക്കാനില്ലെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം നേതൃത്വത്തെ അറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ദേശീയ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ആൻ്റണി വിട്ടുനിന്നേക്കുമെന്നാണ് സൂചന.
