സില്‍വർ ലൈൻ വിഷയത്തിൽ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയൻ്റെ നിർണായക ഇടപെടൽ. പിണറായി ഇന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയെ കാണും. സില്‍വര്‍ ലൈനുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് വിവാദങ്ങളും പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങളും ശക്തമാകുന്നതിനിടയിലാണ്  വിഷയത്തില്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി നിർണായക ഇടപെടല്‍ നടത്തുന്നതും, ഈ വിഷയത്തിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയുമായി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തുന്നതും.

സില്‍വര്‍ ലൈന് എതിരേ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് കോൺഗ്രസ്സും ബിജെപിയും ശക്തമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രതിഷേധം ഉയർത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. കഴിഞ്ഞദിവസം റെയില്‍വേ മന്ത്രി ലോക്‌സഭയില്‍ നടത്തിയ പ്രസംഗത്തിൽ ഭൂമി ഏറ്റെടുക്കാൻ അനുമതിയില്ല എന്ന പരാമർശം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഇതോടെയാണ് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയന്‍ വിഷയത്തില്‍ നേരിട്ടിറങ്ങുന്നത്. വ്യാഴാഴ്ച പാര്‍ലമെൻ്റിൽ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുമായി കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തും. അർദ്ധ അതിവേഗ റെയിൽ പാതയ്ക്കുള്ള തടസ്സങ്ങളെല്ലാം മറികടക്കാനും അനുമതികൾ വേഗത്തിൽ നേടിയെടുക്കാനുമുള്ള ശ്രമം കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നുണ്ടാകും. സില്‍വര്‍ ലൈന്‍ പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാവി നിര്‍ണയിക്കുന്ന കൂടിക്കാഴ്ചയായിരിക്കും ഇതെന്നാണ് കരുതുന്നത്.

സില്‍വർ ലൈന്‍ പദ്ധതി നേരത്തെ തന്നെ കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാറിൻ്റെ മുന്‍പില്‍ ഉള്ളതും, ധനമന്ത്രാലയും റെയില്‍വേ മന്ത്രാലയവും അനുകൂല നിലപാട് സ്വീകരിച്ചിരുന്നതുമാണ്. അതിനാല്‍ പദ്ധതിക്ക് അനുമതി ലഭിക്കുമെന്നു തന്നെയാണ് സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാരിൻ്റെ വിശ്വാസം. എന്നാൽ കഴിഞ്ഞദിവസം കെ-റെയില്‍ വിഷയം ലോക്‌സഭയില്‍ യു ഡി എഫ് എം പിമാര്‍ ഉന്നയിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഈ പദ്ധതിയുടെ പാരിസ്ഥിതിക വിഷയങ്ങളില്‍ ആശങ്കയുണ്ടെന്നായിരുന്നു ഇതിനുള്ള മറുപടിയില്‍ റെയില്‍വേ മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞത്. ഇത് മുന്‍പ് കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഈ പദ്ധതിയോട് എടുത്ത നിലപാടിന് ഘടക വിരുദ്ധവുമായിരുന്നു റെയില്‍വേ മന്ത്രിയുടെ ഈ നിലപാട്.

The Chief Minister is taking a decisive step on the issue amidst controversy and protests over the Silver Line and is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue.

The Congress and the BJP have been waging a strong political protest in the state against the Silver Line. In his speech in the Lok Sabha yesterday, the Railway Minister had mentioned that land acquisition is not allowed. With this, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is directly involved in the issue. The Chief Minister will meet the Prime Minister in Parliament on Thursday. Efforts will be made on the part of Kerala to overcome all obstacles to the semi-high speed rail line and obtain clearances expeditiously. This is expected to be the meeting that will determine the future of the Silver Line project.

The Silver Line project is already before the Central Government and has been favored by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Railways. Therefore, the state government is confident that the project will get approval. But the UDF MPs had raised the K-Rail issue in the Lok Sabha yesterday. In reply, the Railway Minister said that he was concerned about the environmental issues of the project. This position of the Railway Minister was contrary to the earlier stand of the Central Government on this project.
