സിൽവർ ലൈൻ വിഷയത്തിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയുമായുള്ള കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച ആരോഗ്യപരമായിരുന്നു എന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു. സിൽവർലൈൻ പദ്ധതിയോട് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിക്ക് അനുകൂല നിലപാടാണ്. ഈ പദ്ധതി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഗതി ശക്തി പദ്ധതിയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ഇൻഫ്രാസ്ട്രക്ചർ പൈപ്പലൈനിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. പദ്ധതി പരിസ്ഥിതിക്ക് ദീർഘ കാലാടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ വലിയ ഗുണമുണ്ടാക്കും. കെ റെയിൽ നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്ന ആദ്യ വർഷം തന്നെ 500 കോടി രൂപയുടെ ഇന്ധന ലാഭം പദ്ധതികൊണ്ട് ഉണ്ടാവും. ദിവസവും 450ഓളം ട്രക്കുകൾ സിൽവർലൈനിലൂടെ കൊണ്ടുപോകാൻ കഴിയും. ഇതെല്ലാം കൂടിയാകുമ്പോൾ വലിയതോതിലുള്ള കാർബൺ ബഹിർഗമനം കുറയ്ക്കാൻ പദ്ധതിയ്ക്കാവും.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Silver Line issue was healthy. The Prime Minister is in favor of the Silver Line project. The project will be included in the Prime Minister's Movement Plan and will be part of the Infrastructure Pipeline. The project will have a huge impact on the environment in the long run. The project will generate a fuel profit of `500 crore in the first year of implementation of K Rail. About 450 trucks can be transported through the Silverline every day. When all of this is added up, plans can be made to reduce large-scale carbon emissions.
