അമേരിക്കയുടെ ഉപരോധത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ ജോ ബൈഡന് എതിരെ ഉപരോധം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തി റഷ്യ

അമേരിക്കയുടെ റഷ്യൻ ഉപരോധത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ യുഎസ് പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് ജോ ബൈഡനും,സ്റ്റേറ്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി ആൻ്റണി ബ്ലിങ്കനും മുൻ സ്റ്റേറ്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി ഹിലരി ക്ലിൻ്റൺ ഉൾപ്പടെയുള്ള മുതിർന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർക്കും എതിരെ ഉപരോധം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തി റഷ്യ. ജോ ബൈഡനുൾപ്പെടെ 13 പേരെയാണ് റഷ്യ ഉപരോധ പട്ടികയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. ഇതിൽ യുഎസ് സ്റ്റേറ്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി ആന്റണി ബ്ലിങ്കൻ, പ്രതിരോധ സെക്രട്ടറി ലോയഡ് ഓസ്റ്റിൻ, സിഐഎ മേധാവി വില്യം ബൻസ്, ദേശീയ സുരക്ഷാ വക്താവ് ജെയ്ക് സള്ളിവൻ എന്നിവരും ഉൾപ്പെടും. 

യുക്രെയ്നിൽ റഷ്യ സൈനീക നടപടി ആരംഭിച്ചതിനെ തുടർന്ന് പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് പുട്ടിൻ ഉൾപ്പടെ റഷ്യയുടെ മുതിർന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർക്ക് യുഎസ് ഉപരോധം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയതിനു പകരമായാണ് ഈ നീക്കം. ഇവരെ റഷ്യയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നത് തടഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടുള്ള സ്റ്റോപ് ലിസ്റ്റിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തി.

Russia has imposed sanctions on senior US officials, including US President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Russia has added 13 people to its sanctions list, including Joe Biden. This includes US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, CIA Chief William Bunce and National Security Spokesman Jake Sullivan.

The move comes as the United States imposes sanctions on senior Russian officials, including President Putin, following Russia's military action in Ukraine. They were placed on a stop list to be barred from entering Russia.
