എ കെ ആൻ്റണി പ്രവർത്തനം കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുന്നു. ദേശീയ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിൽനിന്ന് പൂർണമായി ഒഴിവാകുമെന്നും പ്രവർത്തനം കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുമെന്നും പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് മുതിർന്ന കോൺഗ്രസ് നേതാവ് എ കെ ആൻ്റണി. 1984 മുതല്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകസമിതിയിലുണ്ട്, ഇനി കോൺഗ്രസ് പ്രവർത്തകസമിതിയിൽ തുടരാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഇന്ദിരാ ഗാന്ധിയടക്കം  എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കുമൊപ്പം പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു. കോൺഗ്രസ്സ് സംഘടനാതലത്തിൽ എല്ലാ മേഖലയിലും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. കേരളത്തിൽ തന്നെപ്പോലെ അവസരം ലഭിച്ച മറ്റൊരാൾ പാർട്ടിയിലില്ല. ഇനി തിരുവനന്തപുരം കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് കേരളത്തിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കും. പ്രവർത്തനത്തിൻ്റെ സ്വഭാവം സഹപ്രവർത്തകരോട് ആലോചിച്ചു തീരുമാനിക്കും. കേരളത്തിൽ പാർട്ടിക്ക് ഏതെങ്കിലും നിലയിൽ പ്രയാസം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ഒന്നും ചെയ്യില്ലെന്നും ആന്റണി പറഞ്ഞു.

കോൺഗ്രസിനെ നെഹ്റു കുടുംബം തന്നെ നയിക്കണമെന്നും എ കെ ആൻ്റണി പറഞ്ഞു. നെഹ്റു കുടുംബത്തിൻ്റെ സാന്നിധ്യമില്ലാത്ത നേതൃത്വം കോൺഗ്രസിനു ഗുണമാകില്ല. അങ്ങനെ വന്നാൽ കോൺഗ്രസിനൊപ്പം നേതാക്കളും ജനങ്ങളുമുണ്ടാകില്ല. കോൺഗ്രസില്ലാത്ത ഒരു പ്രതിപക്ഷസഖ്യത്തിനും നിലനിൽപ്പില്ല.

രാജ്യത്തിൻ്റെ വൈവിധ്യം ഇല്ലാതാക്കാൻ ആരുവിചാരിച്ചാലും നടക്കില്ല. പത്തോപതിനഞ്ചോ വർഷം എന്നത് ചരിത്രത്തിൽ ചെറിയ കാലയളവാണ്, ഇതു കടന്നുപോകും. കോൺഗ്രസ് തിരിച്ചുവരുമെന്ന് ഉറച്ച പ്രതീക്ഷയുണ്ടെന്നും എ കെ ആൻ്റണി പറഞ്ഞു.

AK Antony shifts operations to Kerala. Senior Congress leader AK Antony has announced that he will completely withdraw from national politics and shift his activities to Kerala. He has been on the working committee since 1984 and no longer wants to remain on the Congress working committee. He worked with everyone, including Indira Gandhi. The Congress worked at the organizational level in all areas. There is no other party in Kerala that has got the same opportunity. Now it will work in Kerala with its focus on Thiruvananthapuram. The nature of the activity will be decided in consultation with colleagues. Antony said he would not do anything to cause any hardship to the party in Kerala.

AK Antony said the Congress should be led by the Nehru family. The leadership without the presence of the Nehru family will not benefit the Congress. Then the leaders and the people will not be with the Congress. No opposition alliance exists without the Congress.

No one is going to destroy the diversity of the country. Fifteen years is a short period in history, and it will pass. AK Antony said he had high hopes that the Congress would return.
