ആധാര്‍ കാര്‍ഡും കാർഡ് വിവരങ്ങളും പങ്കുവെയ്ക്കുന്നതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പുറത്തിറക്കിയ മാര്‍ഗനിര്‍ദേശങ്ങളടങ്ങിയ വാര്‍ത്താക്കുറിപ്പ് പിന്‍വലിച്ചു. ഇലക്ട്രോണിക്സ് ആന്‍ഡ് ഇന്‍ഫര്‍മേഷന്‍ ടെക്നോളജി മന്ത്രാലയം ഞായറാഴ്ച പുറത്തിറക്കിയ വാര്‍ത്താക്കുറിപ്പില്‍ തെറ്റായ വ്യാഖ്യാനങ്ങളും തെറ്റിദ്ധാരണകളും ഉണ്ടാവാനിടയുള്ള സാധ്യത പരിഗണിച്ച് അത് പിന്‍വലിക്കുന്നതായി മന്ത്രാലയം വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

യു ഐ ഡി എ ഐ നല്‍കിയ ആധാര്‍ കാര്‍ഡ് ഉടമകള്‍ അവരുടെ ആധാര്‍ നമ്പറുകള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതിലും പങ്കിടുന്നതിലും സ്വാഭാവികമായ ജാഗ്രത മാത്രം പാലിച്ചാൽ മതിയെന്നാണ് നിര്‍ദേശിക്കുന്നത്. ആധാര്‍ ഉടമയുടെ സ്വകാര്യത സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനാവശ്യമായ എല്ലാ സംവിധങ്ങളും ആധാര്‍ ഐഡന്റിറ്റി ഓതന്റിക്കേഷന്‍ എക്കോസിസ്റ്റത്തിനുണ്ടെന്നും പുതിയ വാര്‍ത്താക്കുറിപ്പ് വിശദീകരിക്കുന്നു.

ദുരുപയോഗം ചെയ്യപ്പെടാന്‍ സാധ്യതയുള്ളതിനാല്‍ ആധാര്‍ കാര്‍ഡിന്റെ ഫോട്ടോകോപ്പി ഒരു സ്ഥാപനവുമായും പങ്കുവെക്കാന്‍ പാടില്ലെന്നും. പകരം, അവസാനത്തെ നാലക്കങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രം കാണാവുന്ന വിധത്തില്‍ മാസ്‌ക് ചെയ്ത രീതിയിലുള്ള ആധാര്‍ കാര്‍ഡ് ഉപയോഗിക്കണമെന്നായിരുന്നു മന്ത്രാലയം ആദ്യം പുറത്തിറക്കിയ വാര്‍ത്താക്കുറിപ്പില്‍ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നത്. ഞായറാഴ്ച രാവിലെയാണ് ഇലക്ട്രോണിക്സ് ആന്‍ഡ് ഇന്‍ഫര്‍മേഷന്‍ ടെക്നോളജി മന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻ്റെ പത്രക്കുറിപ്പ് പുറത്തുവന്നത്. ഹോട്ടലുകള്‍, സിനിമാ തിയേറ്ററുകള്‍ പോലുള്ള ലൈസന്‍സില്ലാത്ത സ്വകാര്യ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ആധാര്‍ കാര്‍ഡിൻ്റെ പകര്‍പ്പുകള്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെടാനോ സൂക്ഷിക്കാനോ അനുവാദമില്ല. അതായത് യു ഐ ഡി എ ഐയില്‍നിന്ന് യൂസര്‍ ലൈസന്‍സ് നേടിയ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ക്കു മാത്രമേ വ്യക്തി അയാള്‍തന്നെയെന്ന് ഉറപ്പിക്കാന്‍ ആധാര്‍ കാര്‍ഡ് ഉപയോഗിക്കാനാവൂ. 

ഇൻ്റര്‍നെറ്റ് കഫേകളിലെ നിരവധിയാളുകള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറുകള്‍ ആധാര്‍ കാര്‍ഡ് ഡൗണ്‍ലോഡ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കരുത്. ഇനി അഥവാ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താല്‍, ഡൗണ്‍ലോഡ് ചെയ്തശേഷം കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറില്‍നിന്ന് അതിന്റെ പകര്‍പ്പുകള്‍ ഡിലീറ്റ് ചെയ്യണം തുടങ്ങിയവയും വാര്‍ത്താക്കുറിപ്പിലെ നിര്‍ദേശങ്ങളായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഇത് വ്യാപകമായ ആശങ്കകള്‍ക്ക് വഴിയൊരുക്കിയ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിലാണ് വാര്‍ത്താക്കുറിപ്പ് പിന്‍വലിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെ നടപടി.

The Central Government has withdrawn the newsletter containing guidelines on sharing of Aadhaar card and card details. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said in a press release issued on Sunday that it was withdrawing the letter considering the possibility of misinterpretations and misunderstandings. Aadhaar card holders issued by UIDAI are advised to exercise natural caution in using and sharing their Aadhaar numbers. Photocopy of Aadhaar card should not be shared with any institution as it may be misused. Instead, the ministry had earlier said in a press release that the masked Aadhaar card should be used so that only the last four digits are visible. The press release of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology was released on Sunday morning. Unlicensed private entities such as hotels and movie theaters are not allowed to request or keep copies of the Aadhaar card. This means that only companies licensed by the UIDAI can use the Aadhaar card to verify their identity. Do not use computers used by many people in internet cafes to download Aadhaar card. The newsletter also said that if you do so, you will need to download and delete copies from your computer. But the ministry's move to withdraw the press release comes in the wake of widespread concerns.
