ഡാനിഷ് സിദ്ദീഖി അടക്കം നാല് റോയിട്ടേഴ്സ് മാധ്യമ പ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് പുലിറ്റ്സർ പുരസ്കാരം

കഴിഞ്ഞ ജൂലൈയിൽ അഫ്ഗാനിസ്ഥാനിലെ യുദ്ധമുഖത്തു കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട ഡാനിഷ് സിദ്ദീഖിയടക്കം നാല് റോയിട്ടേഴ്സ് മാധ്യമ പ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് ഫീച്ചർ ഫൊട്ടോഗ്രഫി വിഭാഗത്തിൽ പുലിറ്റ്സർ പുരസ്കാരം. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ കോവിഡ് മഹാമാരിയുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ പകർത്തിയ റോയിട്ടേഴ്സ് സംഘത്തിനാണ്  ഇത്തവണത്തെ പുലിറ്റ്സർ പുരസ്കാരം. യു പിയിലും ഡെല്ഹിലും ഉൾപ്പടെ കോവിഡ് ബാധിച്ച് മരിച്ചവരുടെ മൃതദേഹങ്ങൾ കൂട്ടമായി ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതടക്കമുള്ള ചിത്രങ്ങൾ വലിയ ചർച്ചാവിഷയമായിരുന്നു.

 അദ്നാൻ ആബിദി, സന്ന ഇർഷാദ് മട്ടു, അമിത് ദവെ എന്നിവരാണ് റോയിട്ടേഴ്സ് വാർത്താ സംഘത്തിലെ മറ്റുള്ളവർ. രോഹിൻഗ്യ അഭയാർഥികളുടെ ദുരിതജീവിതം ക്യാമറയിൽ പകർത്തിയതിന് 2018ലെ പുലിറ്റ്സർ പുരസ്കാരം നേടിയ ഫോട്ടോ ജേർണലിസ്റ്റ് ആയിരുന്നു ഡാനിഷ് സിദ്ദീഖി.

ദ് ടാംപ ബേ ടൈംസ് (അന്വേഷണാത്മക റിപ്പോർട്ടിങ്), ക്വാണ്ട മാഗസിൻ (വിവരണാത്മക റിപ്പോർട്ടിങ്), ന്യൂയോർക്ക് ടൈംസ് (ദേശീയ – രാജ്യാന്തര റിപ്പോർട്ടിങ്), ലൊസാഞ്ചലസ് ടൈംസ്, ഗെറ്റി ഇമേജസ് (ബ്രേക്കിങ് ന്യൂസ് ഫൊട്ടോഗ്രഫി) എന്നീ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളും പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ നേടി. യുക്രെയ്ൻ യുദ്ധമുഖത്തെ മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് ബഹുമതിപത്രമുണ്ട്.

അമേരിക്കൻ സംസ്ഥാനമായ ഫ്ലോറിഡയിലെ മയാമിയിൽ ബഹുനിലക്കെട്ടിടം തകർന്നുവീണ്  98 പേർ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട ദുരന്തത്തിൻ്റെ റിപ്പോർട്ടിങ്ങിന് ദ് മയാമി ഹെറാൾഡ് പത്രം ബ്രേക്കിങ് ന്യൂസ് വിഭാഗത്തിലെ പുരസ്കാരം നേടി. ക്യാപ്പിറ്റൾ ഹില്ലിലെ യുഎസ് പാർലമെന്റ് മന്ദിരത്തിൽ നടന്ന അക്രമത്തിന്റെ വാർത്തകൾക്ക് ദ് വാഷിങ്ടൻ പോസ്റ്റിന് സാമൂഹികസേവന വിഭാഗത്തിലെ പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിച്ചു.

Four Reuters journalists, including Danish Siddiqui, who was killed on the battlefield in Afghanistan last July, have been awarded the Pulitzer Prize in Feature Photography. The Pulitzer Prize has been awarded to a Reuters team that photographed the Kovid epidemic in India. Films including the mass cremation of the bodies of those killed by Kovid were a hot topic in UP and Delhi. Adnan Abidi, Sanna Irshad Mattoo and Amit Dave are the other members of the Reuters news team. Danish Siddiqui was a 2018 Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist for filming the plight of Rohingya refugees. The Tampa Bay Times (investigative reporting), Quanta Magazine (descriptive reporting), the New York Times (national and international reporting), the Los Angeles Times and Getty Images (breaking news photography) also won awards. Journalists on the battlefield in Ukraine are honored.

The Miami Herald has won an award in the Breaking News category for reporting on the tragedy of a multi-storey building collapse in the US state of Florida that killed 98 people. The Washington Post has won the Social Service Award for its coverage of the violence at the U.S. House of Representatives in Capitol Hill.
