തൃക്കാക്കര ഉപതിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ ഡോ. ജോ ജോസഫ് എല്‍ ഡി എഫ് സ്ഥാനാര്‍ഥി. കൊച്ചിയില്‍ ഇടത് മുന്നണി കണ്‍വീനര്‍ ഇ പി ജയരാജനാണ് സ്ഥാനാര്‍ഥി പ്രഖ്യാപനം നടത്തിയത്. കൊച്ചി ലിസി ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിലെ ഹൃദ്രോഗ വിദഗ്ധനായ ഡോ. ജോ ജോസഫ് പൂഞ്ഞാര്‍ കളപ്പുരയ്ക്കന്‍ കുടുംബാംഗമാണ്. സാമൂഹ്യ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകന്‍, എഴുത്തുകാരന്‍, പ്രഭാഷകന്‍ എന്നീ നിലകളിലും പ്രശസ്തനാണ് ഡോ. ജോ ജോസഫ്.
പരേതരായ കെ വി ജോസഫിന്റേയും ഏലിക്കുട്ടിയുടേയും മകനാണ് ജോ ജോസഫ്. കോട്ടയം മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജില്‍ നിന്നും എം ബി ബി എസ് ബിരുദം നേടിയ ജോ ജോസഫ്, കട്ടക്ക് എസ് സി ബി മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജില്‍ നിന്നും ജനറല്‍ മെഡിസിനില്‍ എം ഡിയും ഡൽഹി ഓൾ ഇന്ത്യ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് മെഡിക്കൽ സയൻസിൽ നിന്നും കാര്‍ഡിയോളജിയില്‍ ഡിഎമ്മും നേടി. എറണാകുളം ലിസി ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ഡോ ജോസ് ചാക്കോ പെരിയപ്പുറത്തിനൊപ്പം നിരവധി ഹൃദയം മാറ്റിവെക്കല്‍ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയകള്‍ക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കി. ആനുകാലികങ്ങളില്‍ ആരോഗ്യപ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ സംബന്ധിച്ച ലേഖനങ്ങള്‍ എഴുതാറുണ്ട്. പ്രളയകാലത്ത് ഇദ്ദേഹം നടത്തിയ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ ശ്രദ്ധേയമാവുകയും അതിനു പുരസ്‌കാരം ലഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. 'ഹൃദയപൂര്‍വ്വം ഡോക്ടര്‍' എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിന്റെ രചയിതാവ് ആണ്.
തൃശൂര്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ മാനസികാരോഗ്യ കേന്ദ്രത്തിലെ സെക്യാട്രിസ്റ്റായ ഡോക്ടര്‍ ദയാ പാസ്‌കലാണ് ഭാര്യ. കളമശേരി രാജഗിരി പബ്ലിക് സ്‌കൂളിലെ പത്താം ക്ലാസ്സുകാരി ജവാന്‍ ലിസ് ജോ, ആറാം ക്ലാസ്സുകാരി ജിയന്ന എന്നിവരാണ് മക്കള്‍.

Joe Joseph is the son of the late KV Joseph and Elikutty. An MBBS graduate from Kottayam Medical College, Joe Joseph holds an MD in General Medicine from SCB Medical College, Cuttack and a DM in Cardiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. Dr. Jose Chacko along with Periyapuram led several heart transplant surgeries at Ernakulam Lisi Hospital. He writes articles on health issues in periodicals. His work during the floods was notable and received many awards. He is the author of the book Heartfelt Doctor. His wife is Dr. Daya Pascal, a psychiatrist at the Thrissur Government Mental Health Center. The children are Jawan Lis Joe, a 10th class girl from Kalamassery Rajagiri Public School and Gianna a 6th class girl.
