തൃക്കാക്കര ഉപതിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍എൽ ഡി എഫ് സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥി ആരെന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ ഉടൻ തീരുമാനമായേക്കും . സി പി എം ജില്ലാകമ്മിറ്റി അംഗവും ഡി വൈ എഫ് ഐ മുന്‍ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടറിയുമായ കെ എസ് അരുണ്‍കുമാർ എൽ ഡി ഫ് സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയായേക്കും. കാക്കനാട് സെപ്സിലെ തൊഴിലാളി യൂണിയന്‍ നേതാവായ അരുണ്‍കുമാര്‍ കെ- റെയിലുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട മാധ്യമചര്‍ച്ചകളിലൂടെ ജനശ്രദ്ധ നേടിയിരുന്നു.

എൽ ഡി ഫ് കൺവീനറും തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ചുമതലയുള്ള കേന്ദ്രകമ്മിറ്റിയംഗവുമായ  ഇ പി ജയരാജൻ്റെയും വ്യവസായ മന്ത്രി പി രാജീവിൻ്റെയും സാന്നിധ്യത്തില്‍ ജില്ലയിലെ മുതിര്‍ന്ന നേതാക്കള്‍ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച കൂടിയാലോചിച്ച് സ്ഥാനാര്‍ഥിയുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഏകദേശ ധാരണയിലെത്തിയിരുന്നു. ബുധനാഴ്ചത്തെ ചേര്‍ന്ന ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടേറിയറ്റിലും ജില്ലകമ്മിറ്റിയിലും ഈ പേര് ചര്‍ച്ചചെയ്ത ശേഷം അന്തിമ തീരുമാനം ഉണ്ടാവും. ഇന്നലെ വൈകുന്നേരം തന്നെ ഉമാ തോമസിനെ യു ഡി എഫ് സ്‌ഥാനാർത്ഥിയായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇതോടെ ഉപ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ചിത്രം വ്യക്തമായിവരുന്നു. എൻ ഡി എ സ്ഥാനാർഥി പ്രഖ്യാപനം ഉടൻ ഉണ്ടാവുമെന്ന് ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.

It may be decided soon who will be the LDF candidate in the Thrikkakara by-election. CPM district committee member and DYFI former district secretary KS Arunkumar may be the LDF candidate. Arun Kumar, the trade union leader of Kakkanad seps, had gained public attention through media discussions related to K-Rail. On Tuesday, senior leaders of the district met in the presence of LDF convener and Central Committee member in charge of elections EP Jayarajan and Industries Minister P Rajeev to reach a final agreement on the candidate. The name will be discussed in the district secretariat and district committee on Wednesday and a final decision will be taken. Uma Thomas was announced as the UDF candidate yesterday evening. With this, the by-election picture becomes clear. The announcement of the NDA candidate will be made soon, sources said.
